Called in there for coffee on our first morning in the area as it had been recommended, and booked for dinner on Saturday evening. Beautiful restaurant, we sat upstairs, and the service was wonderful. We both had a lovely meal and although I enjoyed the wine my husband was just a little disappointed that they didn´t serve a non-alcoholic beer. Definitely recommend it.

Amazing place....stained glass windows, the chandeliers, the interior and outside space. Food lovely....could do with extra staff as bit rushed off their feet!

Walked in here as had been staying in skibbereen, we were asked if wanted table upstairs or downstairs, we chose upstairs as could get views of ceilings & stained glass windows. We were the first upstairs as it filled up it got very hot. Our food was very good but the waiting staff as it got busier seemed very much under pressure we were finished our starters for 15 mins before they were cleared and 25 mins after our dinner we had to call over waiter to clear the plates and we asked then for the bill. Think the original waitress was reassigned to another area.

We are a family of four - two boys 14 and 13 years old.
On our two week summer holiday about six miles from Skibbereen, we were looking for a place to treat ourselves.
We popped into The Church on a hunch that it looked ok and had lunch.
That we went back twice for evening meals says all you need to know!
The restoration of what had been a burned out hulk is stunning, the staff are all unfailingly helpful and attentive. And what you visit for - the food - is gorgeous.
Do try it.

We were attracted to the church location and both the service and the food was really good. Very friendly waitress and very efficient. However, we expected more based on what we heard. The decor was very disappointing, i.e. the tables were fine for a pub and not even a tablecloth to conceal the fact and the chairs were not exactly of the quality of a fine dining establishment. Sorry, I hate to be critical but I really missed the woman's touch decor wise. It needs motr softness and a new colour scheme would help enormously. The menus could do with upgrading too. More middle of the road than high end but the food was really nice, tasty and well presented - my criticism is meant to be constructive and hopefully in time these issues will be addressed. Price was reasonable for the quality of the food but not the quality of the decor.
