I am a regular customer in this hotel as the food is always up to standard and i've yet to get a bad meal here. all the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The menu changes regularly but your always guaranteed something for everyone as the variety is huge, i'd highly recommend the Squid, (which is available as a starter or main course) The menu is extremely reasonable and with not alot of dining options in the town your guaranteed a constant good standard here.

I regulary book this hotel for a party of golfers and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. The food is great and the staff can't do enough to make you welcome, the manager even gave us a lift into town one rainy night and offered to pick us up again later.

We were 4 Professional women, who stopped here for the evening. Rooms were on the 3rd floor. Clean and not dirty as the prior person experienced. Bathrooms were well appointed and newly remodeled. The view of the mountains and the sheep was pleasant.

There was no elevator and the gentleman at the hotel was quite pleasant helping us with our bags.

As this was Canadian Thanksgiving for us, we were pleasantly surprised to find roast turkey, sage + onion stuffing, mashed potatoes, carrots and home made gravy on the menu. Wine List was reasonable and all wines available. Breakfast was amazing. The spanish woman who is the cook does a fantastic job and she was more than accomodating. I cannot say enough.

The gentlemen who lived in the area who stop by the hotel for a chat, helped us immensely. Yes, we did go to Galway as you advised.

Thank you for a memorable stay.

Room Tip: Sea view or Mountain view....both are amazing

We were booked in here for 2 nights of an 8 night staycation in Kerry and Galway. I was apprehensive as soon as we arrived. Plastic flowers in the reception area and a smell of fried food. We checked in at the scruffy little reception nook, even the computer monitor and keyboard were filthy. We were not offered any assistance with bags.
The lighting in the dark corridor to the bedrooms was very poor with one or two of the lights not working, it was hard to see clearly on the dark stairway, which is quite dangerous.
The bedroom carper was filthy, see photo attached. When we went to shower the next morning, no hot water!! We had a quick breakfast, served by a tatty waitress in the tired dining area, again surrounded by more plastic floral displays!
We checked out immediately and were glad to escape.
I often use Tripadvisor to look at reviews of places to stay and would have to seriously doubt the veracity of the reviews posted for this KIP!

We were quoted a Bed & Breakfast tarrif, but wanted to checkout before breakfast was served. The manager left a tray with fresh baked scones and fruit and yoghurt as well as fresh orange juice and slices of bread and butter outside our room. We thought this was thoughtful and added to our overall pleasant experience as hotel guests. The evening meal was enjoyable and should we travel in that area again would happily return to stay.

I stayed two nights over the bank holiday weekend. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. My room was well appointed and a generous size, with the whirlpool bath being a nice bonus. Breakfasts were good, although the juices weren’t great. The bar food was good.

Although all of the staff were pleasant, the night porter was particularly helpful and deserves commendation.

The Ring of Kerry Hotel is a small, modest hotel offering a welcome way above the norm.

The Ring of Kerry hotel is the last hotel in Caherciveen on the way to the coast. We stopped there to explore the Skellig ring and the west coast some more. The outside of the hotel looks a little dated and we were a little hesitant to enter but we were glad we did. Inside, the reception and lounge area was plush and comfortable, The hotel was quite busy but the staff were attentive and friendly. Our room was clean, comfortable and very pleasant. We did not manage to eat in the hotel as we began exploring Kerry and ate in restaurants on our travels. On the second night we stayed there, there was a christening party happening in the hotel. Although there were lots of people and children about, we were not disturbed by any noise at all once we were in our room. The breakfast in the morning was good - full Irish with hot coffee. Everything was hot, good quality and fresh. The hotel was a gem of a find in a beautiful town.
