“Fantastic fish, fantástic people”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013 via mobile

Setting would be lovely if it wasn't blowing a gale and the rain wasn't horizontal, but inside the welcome is warm, the service with a smile and the fish fantastic. Menu is kept short and simple, every dish delicious, staff juggle orders and produce plates with aplomb. If you don't want fish, if you want à cheese board or a dessert trolley, look elsewhere. If you are looking for thé freshest fish possible served with respect, make à date. No réservations, no cards

“Go on Go on Go on”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2013

Go on if you are visiting here you have to try and get down early and get a table they go fast because the menu is mostly of local seafood catch and it is delicious but by far the scenery from the window seat is eye catching as well as you can take a trip over to Valentia Island on the Car/Passenger ferry too!! while you are there you have to do it

“very clever runned restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2013

Bridie is completely in charge: from the moment you enter the restaurant till you leave. She gives you your table, takes the orders and expect the payment (all cash). The food is excellent: not a very big menu and the only desert is Irish coffee. We love to be in this restaurant and can it recommend to everybody.

“Never disappoints. A very good dining experience in Cahersiveen,”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2013

This restaurant never disappoints. They do a limited menu but they do it extremely well!
They only serve seafood, so don't go expecting a steak.
My wife's from cahersiveen and I've been coming for the past six years and every time I've been to the point I've never been disappointed unlike QC's
Mains are around €25, but worth it because of the freshness and quality and portion size, we had the hake and the hot and cold selection and because we had only come in at 9.15 they had no more monkfish. All four of us were very happy with our meals
