“Don't Eat Here!”
Reviewed March 1, 2014

The worst fish and chips ever! When we saw the sign that said, best fish and chips in Ireland, we should have known it was a tourist trap, but we tried it anyway. This fish was battered, but full of bones. The flavor was not good either. Even the fries were not good. Throw this one back!

“Definitely not the Best Fish & Chips in Ireland”
Reviewed December 17, 2013

As you approach The Hungry Knight in Sneem you are greeted by a large sign proclaiming The Best Fish and Chips in Ireland. We called here for a take-away on a recent visit to Sneem, and were not impressed.
The first impression you get is the service is appalling. The person serving behind the counter was listening to loud music from his earphones, and really didn't seem to be at all interested in what we wanted to buy.
While we waited for our order, we used the pool table but a number of balls were missing so we couldn't complete the game.
We got our order and took it away to eat it at the house where we were staying, and in a word it was poor. The fish was rubbery, the chips were drowned in salt and in summary, not one of the four of us finished our meal.
