Recently had a perfect 2-day stay at Mallmore House. Your hosts Alan & Kathleen were wonderful, the house is charming and sits on a beautiful property overlooking Clifden Harbor. The rooms have a big window that looks over the property and the water. Breakfast was prepared with skill and care. If you're looking to stay in the area, you won't find anything to top Mallmore House.

Wonderful B&B with amazing view of Clifden bay. Make sure you get a room facing the garden, the view is amazing.
Got a very warm welcome and the owners were very helpful.
Two small negatives, the smaller room looking into the car park, while being perfectly comfortable, does not have the wahoo factor of garden facing rooms.
Breakfast was good (very very nice homemade scones!), coffee could have been better.
Would definitely recommend and will be back.

Beautiful house, delicately restored and maintained. Room was stunning with original old world features. Beautiful gardens and a super kind friendly family. Breakfast was to die for - and we are foodies!!! You would never get breakfast of such quality in a hotel!!! Hot stewed rhubarb poured over my granola with yogurt followed by poached eggs, salmon and then a slice of lemon drizzle cake (baked that morning by Siobhan). To die for!!!!! And as for the value - these guys have gotten it all right. Other guesthouses/hotels - come stay here and take note! That's how it's done.

Stayed here on a recent trip to Ireland. I had almost given up on B&Bs as the attitude at most places seemed to be "it's cheap - don't expect much". However, I am glad to report that this place is different. Not only is it great value for money, it is professionally run by a team who seem to care. Even to the point where they post a little notice beside the shower telling you that the hot water takes a while to arrive - I am sure 99% of B&Bs would just leave you to figure it out yourself as you stand there cold, confused and frustrated.
I'm not sure what it's like when completely full but there were some other guests there when we stayed and we didn't hear a thing, slept very well.
Keep up the good work Mallmore Country House !

My husband was the first in our family to stay at Mallmore Country House, as he was visiting his uncle at Clifden hospital. When he returned after his stay in Mallmore he raved so much about the place, and of course Kathleen & Siobhan's Kindness and hospitality, that I decided I would have to go with him on the next visit to see what all the fuss was about. Well I must say what he said about his visit was not exaggerated. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by Siobhan who showed us to our spacious room, the place was warm, welcoming and immaculately clean. I was in awe with everything, from the beautiful décor, to the beautiful view from the window which looked out onto the garden, and beyond to the bay. Our room had a beautiful sitting area, on the table there was bottled water, and they even had wine glasses and a bottle opener if you wish to bring in a bottle of wine. On returning late that evening, we had a cup of tea in the beautiful sitting room, furnished with some fine antiques, I truly felt like lady of the manor. After a wonderful nights sleep we had a wonderful breakfast, which kept us going for the day. We were sad to leave, but we reserved two rooms for the following weekend, as our daughter was visiting from London and had heard us raving so much about Mallmore. She was just as impressed. Coming from London she loves the peace and Tranquillity. On the evening we arrived we decided to take a walk up to bishops seat to see the sun set. It was picture perfect. The view out to the bay is breath taking. The following morning our daughter was impressed with the wonderful choices for breakfast, she had the French toast, it was hard to decide as there was a lot to choose from and she is vegetarian. Kathleen & Siobhan had made some wonderful scones, I have since tried to make them but not as good as Mallmore:) We hope to return again some time in the future, and want to thank Siobhan & Kathleen for their wonderful kindness & hospitality.

Room Tip: All rooms are good, as we saw 3 different rooms and they were all equally beautiful
