We have been here on numerous occasions and have enjoyed everyone. The service is excellent, the staff are lovely, pleasant and helpful. The food is great and value for money. Would recommend to anyone.

Old but nice. Very convenient location in town. Parking on the street in front. Great to walk from pub to pub listening to music. Clean with comfy bed. Big bathroom. No lift so be prepared to carry your bags up the stairs. Didn't eat here but many people making reservations at Marconi restaurant .

I stayed at Foyle's last weekend and booked it after reading the glowing trip advisor reviews. I wasn't dissapointed. It is a 3 star that could pass for nearly a 4 star only the interior is somewhat old fashioned (not old and grotty just not recently renovated). I think it add's to the charm, the reception area is nice and big on arrival (and in the winter I imagine v comfortable and cosy). The check in was quick and easy, there is no lift so if you are staying on a higher floor then you will be carrying your own bags (if that's an issue for you) I imagine unless you ask for help. We checked in and our room was assigned, when we arrived to the room it wasn't made up and then I realised we were facing onto the street (v noisy) so asked to be moved and we were put in a lovely room (that was ready) to the back of the hotel facing onto a nice courtyard (major plus). The rooms are v big/spacious with a big bathroom, again not 5 star at all but v clean, snow white sheets and cover on the bed and spotless bathroom. The breakfast was outstanding, service from the breakfast staff was top class on both days, couldn't have looked after us better and no skrimping on asking us if we wanted more of anything.

Room Tip: Make sure to ask for a room away from the main street.

The hubby and I were stuck in one heck of a rain storm at the Kylemore Abbey and were soaked head-to-toe. We asked the desk if we could put our clothes in their industrial dryer and they obliged without hesitation. Had a great drink in the bar, loved the barman. No elevator but if you are physically able-not a huge bother.

Room Tip: If you don't want to haul your bags up the stairs, then ask for a bottom floor room.

Loved my stay here, will definitely be visiting again! Everything spotlessly clean and fresh. Food yummy and prices reasonable. Excellent location to all services and shops. The village is a great place to bring the family or couples. There is something for everyone.

Good location in the center of town with lots of pubs and places for dinner. Shops and so on all on the same street. Parking on the street. Wifi in reception area only. Breakfast was included and had all the usual. No complaints. We had a room on the top floor away from the stairs at the end of the hall and I think this was a good quiet choice. Could just hear the reggae music from the bar downstairs but a room any closer might have been a problem. The room was spacious. Small flat screen tv in one corner. Great big long bathtub which was a plus. Overall a good choice but we did expect more for what we paid.

This really is an old style hotel from the elegant covered entrance on the main street to the wide hallways and overstuffed couches in the lobby. No elevator to the third floor (2nd floor for Europeans) but a willing porter to make things easy and pleasant. Our room was a good size and well furnished with a comfortable bed and a bathroom where everything worked. We were happy with the room and even happier with the staff who were even friendlier than the building. The restaurant was excellent in a town full of great places to eat and drink and be entertained in the true Irish fashion.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the rear garden are quieter.
