My wife and I were referred here by another b&b and we couldn't have been more delighted in what we found during our two nights there--one of the best b&b's we have ever stayed at in Ireland. The hosts were very warm, very available and always there to help. The sitting room (always ask if a b&b has one!) drew fellow travelers to gather round the fire and share their lives and experiences. The countryside surrounding the hostel is beautiful and the ocean is just down the road--quite a nice touch, we found, after a hard days travels. The choices at breakfast were superb and featured delicious eggs from their own chickens.
As for the visitor who complained about being charged, please remember how hard such owners work seven days a week and what an expensive proposition it is to run such a place. A sudden loss of a reservation with no time to replace it shouldn't leave the owner high and dry. I know of b&b's that require five days notice (which does seem a bit stiff.) So it seems understandable to have the day's charge.
