“Hidden but worth the detour”

Lovely quiet little oasis at the end of the pier road. The couple working there made us feel extremely welcome and food was grand, standard enough fare.

“The Great Escape”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2013

I work and live in Clifden and the Boardwalk Cafe is the perfect place to relax and take 5. With an amazing view of Clifden Bay and in particular the White Lady, it's relaxed and welcomed atmosphere and of course the delicious and well-valued cuisine, it is the ideal place for a coffee, to bring friends to lunch or to host meetings. It is by all means worth the stroll down......

“A little treasure in Clifden!!! Must see!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 9, 2012 via mobile

My hubby and I stumbled upon this wonderful cafe and bar quite by nosiness! We were visiting Clifden and walked a little up the beach road, saw a sign for this place and decided to keep walking. We were so glad we did because the boardwalk cafe and bar is lovely! Peaceful, wonderful views, people collecting winkles, boats and a very nice host, Simon! The Guinness was lovely (so my husband says) and inexpensive! Simon provides home cooked food and very interesting conversation!! His dog Buzz welcomes you at the door! Loved this area and Simons cafe and bar!! If you find yourself in Clifden, Co Galway, you have to go, you won't be sorry!
