“Rugby Reigns and the Nightlife,. full of life”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

This is a superb Pub. The impromptu singing and theatrics from the locals are fun and some are clearly quite gifted with an odd poetry rendition or an Irish lament. The Guinness was excellent and if you work in law enforcement or have been in the military...bring them a patch, the bar is full of them from the states.

“Very disappointed by rude owner and barman”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

As Irish visitors we were both very disappointed and embarrassed by the shameful rude behaviour of the owner and barmen here. They told several foreign visitors to either drink up or leave, actually arguing at one point with a French couple who were enjoying the live music that it had been "20 minutes since they'd bought a drink". We felt embarrassed and obliged to apologise on their behalf, for fear that these tourists would think all Irish pubs were this money grabbing and brash.
It's a pity as the live music is great here! But the constant watching of drinks is just terrible and ruined it for us!

Reviewed August 18, 2013

lively spot especially later on in the night dj playing, the place to go to! as no nightclub in the town, met a stagg group here had a good laugh and enjoyed the outdoor area upstairs. the part at back seemed for younger clientelle and the part at front of pub seemed for an older clientelle.

Called here before we went onto the Sky Road. Had lovely bowls of chowder, toasted sandwiches and creamy Guinness. Very good and very very tasty. Toilets were spotless and staff were friendly. Price by 3 was under 20e
