Stayed here April 16th-19th, with my two boys, 10and 14, also with my parents in their own room. We have stayed in both the hotel, 2 and 3 bedroomed apartments on altogether 8 occassions! There is nothing bad to say about this hotel, everything is of a very friendly and high standard, from the rooms, food in both the restaurant, and the bar food, the leisure centre, cinema, and most especially for my 10 year old, and me! the childrens club, which runs from 2/3pm until 9pm, incorporating, cinema, swimming, dinner, and play time.
The hotels location, so close to Clifden town is wonderful, just being able to wander around the town without getting in your car is a bonus, All staff are very friendly, from Alam in the restaurant, Susan on reception, and Wilson overseeing all! It always pleases me to meet the same staff on each return visit, its a good sign of consistency and happiness among staff!
I will return back to the station house hotel in August, it will be my fouth August spent in the hotel, a lovely break for my family before the mad rush for school in September starts.

We would highly recommend the Clifden House Hotel to anyone visiting Clifden. Throughout our stay the staff at the hotel and the bar staff have been very helpful, polite and provided a first class service. The bar staff and management at the Station House bar were advising and helpful. Excellent food and great entertainment along with service with a smile made for a most enjoyable stay.
The town is within walking distance from the hotel and caters for all ages with great traditional music and friendly locals. All and all a place worth visiting.

We stayed in this hotel as a family of 4 with our 2 children ages 7 and 5. The facilities for everyone were fabulous. The food was divine-compliments to Mr John O'Toole, team and staff. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and all hotel staff could not do enough for us. The Kiddies club was top marks for our girls who always looked forward each time to going-again staff were great. Thank you to the Manager (Wilson Bird) for his attention and efficient service throughout our stay. Great location and plenty of places to see and lovely scenery-Gateway to Connemara!. We are planning to return soon.

We have stayed a number of times now and the welcome from Susan on front desk, Alan in the bar and Wilson the Manager just gets better every time. The resteraunt staff are so polite and attentive that it feels like home. I have already booked for September 09 for our society golf trip and my fellow golfers are looking forward to returning to the Station House for their second trip.
If you are looking for good value, polite and caring staff and food of the highest quality look no further than the Station House.
