“All nice and fresh”

Light lunches, bread and cakes are ok. Try the banoffee eclair for something different. Lemon meringue also tasty.

“Good Choice for Light Bite”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2014 via mobile

My wife and I both ate soup and a sandwich here. Yes, it's a little expensive, but what isn't in Clifden (e.g., $100 for a pair of garden-variety Wrangler jeans at a shop just down the street)? It was fine for a quick bite, the staff were friendly and the food choices were ample & nicely displayed.

“Too expensive”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2014

We had breakfast at Walsh's Bakery and ordered pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, one of the Sacher Squares and Coffee for both of us. The portion consisted of two small pancakes and two slices of bacon, for that they charged almost 8 Euro! The Sacher Square was good, but it was not the original Sacher pastry, it was more like a regular chocolate cake. In total we were a bit disappointed and I would not recommend this Coffee Shop, there are other places in town that I liked a lot more (for example Upstairs Downstairs)

“Rhubarb Squares!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2014

Stopped in for a treat to bring back to our rental for afternoon tea. We were not disappointed as rhubarb was in season. They were delicious. The choices at the bakery were abundant and the service local and friendly.

“Lovely cafe, nice atmosphere but for bakery they were very limited in gluten free produce!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2014 via mobile

We called here on a visit to Clifden and though it was lovely and had lots to choose from on the menu, gluten free breads/scones were not available! I was very disappointed that they didn't cater for dietary requirements but for those lucky enough to order from menu it's worth a visit!
