John and Sue are not just your innkeepers, they also second as tour agents during your stay! They know the area whether it be hiking or biking and can offer up some great local advice. They both also went ouf of their way to make my stay absolutely perfect. They are honest hard working down to earth people that shared my passion for life and the outdoors. Cheers to John and Sue!

Just got back from three nights in this delightful B&B which certainly lives up to its 4 star rating. The location is quiet but within easy striking distance of Clifden. Our double room was large and comfortable, the shower was good, and the breakfasts were superb, with real marmalade!
Sue and her husband John are charming hosts and most helpful, not only suggesting suitable walks but producing maps as well.
For us the icing on the cake was Stanley the dog, but worry not non dog lovers, he only approaches when invited!

We really enjoyed our stay in Sharamore House, its ideally located just outside Clifden. We were made to feel very welcome and there is a really relaxed atmosphere created by Sue and her family, the room we had was spacious and very comfortable. Our holiday was enriched by the recommendations made by Sue regarding where to eat and our day trip to Inishbofin. We will be back.

John and Sue are welcoming and very knowledgeable about Connemara. Both are outdoor-oriented and experienced walkers. They can direct one to trails that fit all levels of skill and ambition. And if you are into sea angling, John is your man. House has superb view of the sea and rugged hillsides. Close to Clifden, Connemara National Park and islands. Can arrange a trip to Inishboffin Island, an experience not to be missed in good weather. People make the difference here. We would return.

John and Sue are very welcoming and knowledgeable, great hosts. The rooms are large, en-suite with very comfortable beds and the rooms at the front on first floor have great views of Streamstown Bay. John runs a well equiped fishing boat, great for a days fishing round the nerby islands of Inishboffin and Inishturk, alternatively he can take you out to the islands and give you a guided walk, expect to see seals dolphins and in spring basking sharks. A great place to base yourself if youre exploring Connemara.
John and Sue are active mountain bikers and hill walkers and have some great rides and walks.

Room Tip: First floor corner room at front
