Description: Established in 1846 Bill Chawke's Bar, located in the heart of Adare Village, Co. Limerick is a fine traditional bar with a great reputation for providing some of the best hospitality around. Our recently refurbished bar is an excellent place to watch our local Adare GAA heroes and all the other major sporting events live on our LCD High Definition TVs. Our live weekly traditional music sessions are famous and bring a wealth of musicians and music lovers through our doors. Our kitchen serves delicious traditional fare every day and customers keep coming back to us for a bite to eat or simply relax with a pint or glass of their favourite tipple. We have a truly superior beer garden which is the envy of every pub in the county; we just wish we could 'serve up' good weather for our customers to relax in it on those soft Irish summer days and not need one of our waterproof parasols. Our beer garden also has state of the art BBQ facilities and is a favourite with locals and visitors who like to dine and entertain al fresco whatever the occasion. Good quality service, delicious food and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere is what we are all about and we think we deliver, in spades! Awarded the Prestigious Licensing World Country Bar of the Year 2010!

Bill Chawke was our first pub to visit in Ireland. Great service and warm atmosphere. The mushroom soup was amazing! We returned that evening to enjoy traditional Irish music. The musicians were so accommodating and invited a patron with an amazing voice to join them in a few songs! Definitely a great beginning to our week long vacation in Ireland.

We stopped in for dinner on our way to Killarney. The food was good, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. They know how to treat hungry travelers. We recommend it.

We spent 2 nights at this pub and the atmosphere was great. We watched a Hurling match while there. Very exciting to see the locals get so vocal. Bartenders were excellent. They explained the rules of Hurling to us. Very helpful. Fun pub.

Recently spent 9 days touring Ireland and stopped to visit the quaint town of Adare. We were a party of 6 and were looking for a pub to rest our legs and quench our thirsts. What a grand find we discovered by stepping into BILL CHAWKES PUB. A simple looking place with a bright red store front but what a surprise we found inside. We walked into a lively, friendly and simply perfect small town pub. This was not a dark, older looking pub but a glistening pale oak interior, long varnished blond bar, shiny taps. To our Irish luck we had stepped into a really special place. Brian, our bartender who pointed out his brother Alan at the end of the bar poured a perfect Guiness while we listened to a lovely Irish duo sing Irish tunes in a garden atrium at the rear of the pub. This atrium also housed several tables that sat under a skylight ceiling that allowed plenty of light to filter in. This was a friendly, friendly Irish Pub with our hosts of Alan and Brian Fitzpatrick engaging us in conversation. A mixed crowd of families, groups and single of all ages enjoying "pub grub", lively music, plentiful pints and friendly conversations. Wish we could have returned but we off to County Kerry the next day. A "Must Stop In" when visiting Adare. One of my favorite pubs in Ireland!!
