My husband and I have stayed at several 5 star hotels over the years but never have we stayed
in a hotel or castle where the staff was soooooo accommodating. We only spent two nights there
but all the staff seemed to remember what we each drank or where we said we were going that day etc. It was totally unbelievable. We were escorted to our room and all the different amenities of the room and hotel were pointed out by our escort. The grounds were just magnificent. We were driven out to the end of the resort in order to walk thru the beautiful little town of Ardare and picked up again at the entrance of the resort. They make you feel like royalty. A must if you
are traveling to Ireland.

Room Tip: I think any room would be great.

As everyone has shared on Tripadvisor, this hotel is probably one of my favorites of Ireland and probably of all I have stayed in my life. The surrounding countryside and natural habitat is breath taking. The ambiance can't be beat.

Adare is a wonderful small village. The people are warm and caring. There are several pubs which serve good food. Prices are very fair. Village is small. This is a two day max stay in the area (unless you are here to play golf). You can use Adare as a hub to visit surrounding sightseeing areas, but the reason you come here is to relax and enjoy the hospitality the hotel gives. I don't golf, but if I did the golf course is beautifully designed and is in great shape because of all the rain in Adare. Don't be surprised to see many wild life during your game. There are deer, foxes, and other indigenous wild species. While yesterday I even saw someone fly fishing in the river during the rain storm.

The hotel is a historic structure. It has old flooring so when you walk it creeks (this can be annoying if you go to bed early and other guests are getting to their rooms). Modern renovation and creature comfort to rooms is appreciated.

You sense the history of this hotel (which was originally the home of an Earl) while walking through the front doors. The antiquity of the art work and furniture gives you the sense you are in the 18th century. Very detailed carvings found in live working fireplace(it gives off lots of heat when you are cold or wet), comfortable period furniture, and formal dining room.

There is a pool and gym for the health enthusiasts. Not enough can be said about genuine hospitality of staff. Everyone is so nice and professional.

We just returned from a 5 night trip to this beautiful hotel. The building and grounds are stunning. I can't say enough about how wonderful the entire staff was during our stay. They were uniformly friendly and helpful. By the second day they were all calling us by name and knew our room number and preferences. Pat at the front desk will keep you laughing.

We stayed in a standard room on the first floor. It was large and comfortable. The bathrooms could do with an update, the small pedestal sink with separate faucets for hot and cold water were annoying, especially with 2 people. Being an old manor house, there is no closet in the room. Everything had to fit in the wardrobe with 2 small drawers at the bottom. There are only 62 rooms, so it was always quiet.

The spa is small but they have a nice assortment of facials that were very good. It is a nice way to spend the morning while the men played golf.

The restaurant serves a lovely continental breakfast in the mornings with several hot items available off the menu. Afternoon tea is served daily, but we were never there to enjoy it. We all enjoyed drinks in The Tack Room with live music nightly.

It is a 10 minute walk to the gates of town. You will find cute shops, pubs and nice restaurants there. We had a delicious meal at the Blue Door, fresh salmon and lamb chops.

Adare is a great place to stay while you explore southwest Ireland. We took day trips to the Cliffs of Morh, Cork and Waterford. Waterford was over 2 hours and might be easier to visit from another location.

Room Tip: The first floor hall has a strange odor so I would avoid it. The rooms don't smell at all, but walking through that hall was not pleasant.

Just enjoyed a two-night stay at the Adare Manor. What a beautiful hotel in a beautiful area of Ireland. We knew it was a special place the minute we drove onto the grounds. The manor home has been renovated into a top-notch hotel on a golf course. Every staff person that we dealt with went out of their way to be warm and frriendly, as well as accomodating. We especially enjoyed Patrick who mans the front door and made us feel very welcome in every way

We stayed there for several days on a photography trip to Ireland. The manor house is beautiful, very old world with a lovely lobby and fireplace. The rooms are great and very comfortable, the sevice is excellent, and the breakfasts were exceptional. Around the manor is a lovely garden with manicured shrubs, and the oldest cedar tree in the British Isles. An idyllic setting and definitely worth a stay, especially if you fly into Shannon. It's very close to the airport.
