This charming little Cafe was recommended to us by a local hotelier. Just off the Main Street, it's opposite the Library & beside the Fire Station, with convenient parking.
The Cafe is compact (maybe 30 seats), the decor is bright & cheery + there's a warm "welcome" as you come in the door. Open in daytime, Tuesday to Saturday, they do breakfast 'til 11 a.m., offer light snacks, sandwiches, scones & pastries, and seem to have a steady trade in "take-out" purchase of bakery products + sauces and chutneys.
We satisfied ourselves with a cappucino, a tea & scones - the latter were tasty, but the cappucino could have had less cream/froth. The amusingly labelled "Powder Room" was clean & well-maintained.
Our Bill was extremely reasonable, and we vowed to return to sample more from the "Cottage Company" Menu.
