Restaurant fabulous food. Unfortunately bottles of house wines in Kinsale appear to be approx. €21- this is a little over the top but the standard of both food and service amazing. Congrats. on great restaurant and keep up the great work!

“A very nice evening”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

Our large family group of 8 had dinner at The White House, recently. Our waiter was really nice - very helpful and friendly. It was good value for money and everyone was very happy with their food. I would definitely go back here again!

“Great Dinner!”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

We wandered in here after arriving in Kinsale hungry without reading any reviews so we didn't know what to expect and were pleasantly suprised. The service was excellent, we were seated quickly, and our water glasses never went empty. My husband ordered the chicken parmigiana and I got the special of beef marsala, both of which were delicious and filling and you could not beat the price. After traveling much of Ireland we were use to overpriced meals and were pleasantly surprised when the bill came. If we ever make it back to Kinsale this is on our list of places to go back to!

“Fabulous find”
Reviewed August 10, 2013 via mobile

Found this on the recommendation of our hosts at The Old Presbytery and it didn't disappoint.

Needed to book in advance but it was a Saturday. Seafood pancake was superb, Monkfish & prawn medallions perfect. On the meat front Chicken Parmigiana and Duck breast were wolfed down in no time.

Service was a bit pushy, perhaps they needed the table but I don't like plates being removed until all the diners in the party have finished. Minor quibble in the circumstances.

“Good dinners, but the local music there, topped off the evening!”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

We actually had two meals in the White House while in Kinsale. The food was generally good, especially the large salads we had for one of our meals along with a bottle of chilled white wine. The salads were freshly made (caesar salad and beet salad with goat cheese) and were delicious. BUT, what topped off the evening was the Irish music performed by local musicians; banjo, guitar, violin, tin whistle, flute, drum and good voices singing well known and more obscure Irish ballads and songs. Add some Irish beer (we prefer Smithwicks) and it became a memorable night for us! Actually, that is why we returned for a quieter evening, where we did have exceptional service, but only average meals, probably saved by the seafood chowder! Good restaurant to go to, if you want some local flavor of Ireland.
