We traveled with 2 teenagers and had 2 rooms. We arrived a little earlier than our check-in time and Nan was amazing and allowed us to come in and gave us tea and cookies. The view is amazing. My only complaint was that we had to be in the siting room to get online and felt as if we were we were intruding, even though we weren't.

This was my 2nd stay in Harbour Crest and it was every bit as enjoyable as my first stay there. Nan was as charming and friendly as ever and the food was brilliant - the scones and brown soda bread are out of this world! Work has been done to the house since I was last there with the bathroom and most of the ensuites having been redone. The weather was glorious and we had a lovely barbeque out on the patio overlooking beautiful countryside and Courtmacsherry bay. My friends and I went out in Kinsale and Bandon - there was plenty of shopping done and a good choice of places to eat and pubs. I plan to return next year in July for Kilbrittain festival as I heard so much about it from the locals and have seen clips of it on You-tube. Keep up the good work Nan and Harbour Crest!

We stayed at Harbour Crest for a week in September. We were met with a very warm welcome from Nan and some lovely refreshments which were very much appreciated after our long journey. The views were spectacular, looking out accross the bay to Courtmacsherry. There was a good selection of pubs and restaurants in the locality. Breakfasts were wonderful and were served with some lovely homemade soda bread and jams. I was worried that my children might find it a bit isolated but they had a great time as there was lots of space outside for them to play safely in. They are already asking to go back!

I stayed in Harbour Crest with my husband and 2 children as we wanted a short break away from city life. It was exactly what we needed...beautiful sea views and a very warm and comfortable house with everything we needed provided. There are loads of lovely restaurants near by. We did not get to go to any of the pubs but there looked to be a good few in the area.
We received a very warm welcome and if you are looking for somewhere really picturesque and away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life then this is the place to go....

We stayed in Harbour Crest B&B from 25 of May till 27 of May 2008. House has nice view, but house itself is old and has strange smell inside. We were not sure if it is because of wet walls, or old floors, but you can smell it in whole house. Air in the house is wet and cold. We had 2 rooms with nice view. Beds were not the best and showers are terrible - old design and bad pressure. You are not possible to get nice shower at all. Breakfast was quite ok. Nan was ok. Harbour Crest B&B is also quite far away from Kinsale. Price for this B&B is expensive for what you get. We stayed in B&B in Killarney and it was much better for same price as Harbour Crest B&B. We would not stay in Harbour Crest again, because there is plenty of choice of different B&B in Ireland. Alena, Slovakia, Mark South Africa

We loved our stay with Mrs. McCarthy at Harbour Crest. She was one of the friendliest and most accommodating proprietors we've ever encountered. The room was immaculate and very private, and the breakfasts were delicious. Harbour Crest is beautifully situated, with stunning views, and the surrounding area is delightful.

Kinsale is easy to get to, and has interesting historical attractions, as well as outstanding dining. We enthusiastically recommend Harbour Crest!

We recently stayed at Harbour Crest. This is a truly amazing place, overlooking the sea and Courtmacsherry Bay across the water. We were warmly welcomed by our host, Nan, before she made us a huge big pot of tea and served it up with a basket of home made scones. Delicious!!

Our room was at the front of the house and had very comfortable beds, tv and it was ensuite - it also had that amazing view. We had drinks outside that evening and watched the sun go down. We could not have found a more perfect place.

That night Nan recommended some local restaurants and pubs to us where we could soak up the Irish atmosphere - we were spoilt for choice.

Our breakfast was great - Nan catered for all our needs with big tasty full irish breakfasts, homemade porridge and a great selection of home made breads. We were chatting to some of her other guests and one couple were staying with Nan for the seventh time in nine years..... I completely understand why.

I cannot recommend this place high enough and will definitely go back there.
