My husband and I stayed here during our trip to Ireland at the end of september 2012. I made reservations by phone with Tom, the owner. He is very nice and helpful and treated us like family. We arrived at the bright yellow and purple trim B&B and Tom greeted us with a smile and welcomed us into his home. He gave us some info about Kinsale and asked what we wanted for breakfast the next morning. To our delight, we had choices! Of course the traditional irish breakfast was on the menu but there were also a few other choices from smoked salmon and eggs, omelet, pancakes, etc. It was very yummy.

Location was great! Just a few bars down from the heart of kinsale.
Parking was easy for us since we arrived on the weekend. You can park on the street just in front of the B&B from 630pm saturday until 1030am monday morning. There is a small parking lot in the back but it was first come, first serve and when we arrived there was no parking. But I'm sure if you drive up and down the back streets you'll find something. If you park on the street during the weekday you'll have to pay.

The room was a little small but comfortable. All rooms came with en suite. We are from the USA so we are used to big rooms/bathrooms. But in Europe standards, I suppose the room was average. We had large suitcases so it would have been nice if we had a luggage stand or table to lay the suitcase on. Instead we just used the bed when we needed to open it. No big deal. THere was a closet in the room to stow it away during the day.

The bed was comfortable. It was nicely made for us and we had fresh towels upon our arrival back from sightseeing.

The price was very reasonable.

When we did have breakfast in the morning, there was cereal and fruit also available. He also had classical music playing in the background. Lo and behold, it was Tom's own music. He is a very talented musician. He plays the xylophone, piano, and I'm sure a bunch of other instruments. We were honored to receive a copy of his CD. We played it when we traveled in the car. Very beautiful music.

The Gallery is very warm, inviting, and home-like. We highly recommend the Gallery.
Thank you Tom for the wonderful accommodations!

-Cindy and Joe

The Gallery is owned by Tom who is helpful and very nice. Breakfast was wonderful both days and you could not even eat it all. He could not be helpful enough with directions and suggestions. We stayed on the third floor. He gave us the choice of one on the second floor but we chose the third. The water pressure was ok and there was plenty of hot water. The bathroom was really small but we chose it because it had 2 beds. There was a hairdryer, wi-fi, lotion, shampoo and body wash, hot pot for coffee or tea and a great skylight window in the ceiling that you could open. Everything was within a short walking distance (except Bulman's Pub) It is not close. It would have taken us an hour to walk to Charles Fort so you will want to take the little tourist train that runs from the town to the Fort or take a car.
Kinsale is a cute town over all and we would definitely stay with Tom again.

We are a small family of 3 with a 2 year old.

The Gallery is very well situated. Clean rooms. Excellent breakfast.

The owner, a friendly easy going chap is a jazz buff who plays some easy on the ear tunes.

We were also allowed to leave our bags there on the day of our departure.

Recommended. Would stay there again.

My mom, friend and I recently had the privilege of staying at the Gallery B&B in Kinsale. This was our favorite B&B of the whole trip. The owner, Tom, was very attentive to the guests and provided all the amenities necessary for a very enjoyable stay. The B&B itself was decorated beautifully and the bedrooms were very cozy and clean. Breaskfast was delicious too! There is parking in the rear of the building and the B&B is about a 1 minute walk into the city center. We had absolutely no complaints and looking forward to returning again in the near future.

This place is pretty much near to everything in Kinsale even considering that Kinsale is a small place. The owner is nice and plays piano most of the time.

But you can't cook anything yourself, so If you had that plan confirm with Mr. Tom before you arrive there. Rooms and bathrooms are good enough for all needs (family, couples etc)
