Spent a weekend here, and enjoyed it. The organic breakfast is delightful, and cooked for you, as opposed to the buffet style of other places. There was homemade jams, breads, cereal, fruits and cheese and meats... The rooms are a bit tight, but we didn't mind as you don't go to Kinsale to stay home!

We have just spent a very nice weekend in this hotel. Our room was lovely and the staff are all very pleasant and efficient. The food in the hotel was delicious and I would definitely stay here again because it has a certain charm other hotels lack.

Arriving at the hotel we were told our room would not be ready untill 4 pm. We went for a walk around lovely Kinsale, checked in went to the room and no heating I phoned reception and was told the heating does not go on untill 5 pm ??? IT WAS FREEZING OUTSIDE. The room itself was very out dated but clean. We had dinner and that was ok . Breakfast again ok. Can't say i will be back.

Didn't stay in the hotel but we had dinner here as part of a group - we had a set menu and to be honest, a lot of restaurants who set menus for large groups don't leave a lot to the imagination. This however was spectacular, it was a set menu that left you wanting everything! The service was impeccable and super efficient. We stayed in the Old Bank Town House with Blue Haven Collection as part of a group package deal and the price was fantastic. Would definitely consider coming back here for dinner on my next visit.

The Blue Haven is an absolute an 'Oasis' in a town that is very well known for it's beauty and maritime connections and one of the most visited in Ireland by nationals as well as those from further afield. Kinsale is always busy, but inside the Blue Haven you will find tranquility, beautifully appointed restaurants and bars and above all, service. The service that we received on a visit this last weekend was outstanding and something you would normally only find in a 5 Star hotel, nothing is too much trouble and the staff will ensure that you enjoy your stay and your every need is catered for.

We attended a private dinner function that was held in the small private dining room that has a wonderful area for a drinks reception, it was totally private with closing doors and although at the end of the main restaurant was seperate and we could enjoy the event in private.

The food was absolutely superb, I had Scallops as a starter and a fillet steak cooked to perfection for the main with a fantatic vegetable tartlet, all served efficiently and swiftly by the attentive staff. All the meals ordered were of equal quality and every guest at the dinner was more than impressed. Along with some fine wines and drinks the evening was amazing.

All the bedrooms are modern and well appointed and although being in the centre of a small town and not being a huge hotel the rooms are a very decent size, ours had a Super - King 6ft bed and it was incredilbly comfortable.

the Wi Fi is just what you expect these days, fast and easily accessible and I had no problem keeping in touch through e-mail and being able to use the internet free and with a very fast speed.

The owners of the Blue Haven take a real personal interest in their hotel and their guests and have many years experience doing so, they know what is required to offer a great stay in one of Ireland's most visited destinations and especially at this time with the state of the economy where every guest has to be won and then treated as special if they are to return and spend hard earned money again.

I wholeheartledy recommend the Blue Haven, whether it is for a weekend break, a longer stay or just a good meal, they will treat you as would expect to be treated and then some, enjoy Kinsale and enjoy the Blue Haven, we did!

Lovely place to stay on main street in Kinsale. Stayed on two night Band B deal for two including 4-course dinner on one evening. The room was a good size, well furnished and clean.
The dinner was excellent, well up to the high standards expected in Kinsale.
Breakfast menu was well varied and very good.
We enjoyed a 4-piece group in the bar on Wednesday night and a 3-piece on Thursday. All very capable musicians and no gimmicky keyboards to be seen!
However we expected live music to be on 7 days per week but its only on Wednesday to Sunday this time of year.So we were lucky to catch it.
There is only street parking at the hotel which costs E1.20 per hour from 1030-1800.
There is a free public car park on the edge of town 10 mins. walk from hotel-- a bit inconvenient.Still we will stay here again.
