My husband and I along with 2 other couples stayed at the Perryville House recently. The rooms were lovely and the food outstanding. We all were a bit worried about putting our room keys in a bowl in the entryway when leaving to be returned to us on our return. Since the doors to the hotel are locked at all times and an staff member must let you in I did not worry to much. On our second nights stay we returned to our room to find my kindle missing. I reported it the next morning but was treated with a very bad attitude as if I had done something wrong. There are no safes provided in the rooms. My only advice if you choose to stay at the Perryville house would be to keep your room key and valuables with you at all times.

This is a wonderful place to stay. It has old world elegance, yet very comfortable. It had beautiful water views. From the moment we arrived, the owner Andrew gave us a warm greeting. He made a dinner reservation for us. The lodge is beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. Kinsale is a lovely place to visit and I would recommend staying here.

Not one negative thing to say about the Perryville. The price put me off abit on booking but it was worth the treat. It was way nicer than a hotel. We were greeted by Andrew the owner. So friendly and helpful. He had menus for all the restaurants in Kinsale. Our room was huge and the bed was so comfortable. Everything was exceptional. The breakfast was amazing...stewed rubbarb, poached plums, fresh fruit, homemade breads and their own honey!! The cooked breakfast was so tasty, all produce was local and you can taste the difference. They have a lovely coffee shop and shop also. Had a lovely coffee in the garden. Thank you Andrew and Staff...hope to see you again :))

Room Tip: Harbour view room

We found the Perryville by accident and just walked in to ask whether they had any vacancies. We had a room with a harbour view and it was lovely. Big bed and plenty of space in the room, with windows on 2 sides. The breakfast was amazing ... all locally sourced produce which is explained on the menu. The fresh honey straight from the honeycomb (produced by Andrew's own bees) was absolutely delicious. We were greeted by Andrew who took over the rental car, unpacked our cases, arranged for them to be delivered to our room and parked the car ... all before we had checked in! He was more than helpful in providing information about restaurants and bars in Kinsale and always had a greeting and story to tell whenever we came in (or went out!) Would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Choose a suite with a harbour view

I would move into Perryville House if I could. The rooms are elegant without being stuffy, the people who run the inn are very classy, breakfast was great, the location was great... I would love to go back.

Just back from a long weekend in Ireland and this was the best place we stayed by far. Beautiful rooms, top food, excellent host. The view was lovely, right over the harbour and we were made so welcome by a very busy host. Will certainly return here and will be counting the days. Not cheap but very good VFM.

Room Tip: Ask for harbour view.

We found the Perryville by chance and were so happy we did. I am traveling with my two teens and had made our way from Kenmare. The Perryville sits right opposite the bay with a perfect view if one is available. We had our choice of several rooms and had to choose the view - it was lovely. Andrew, who greeted us, was a perfect host and helped my daughter find a horse back trek adventure. The hotel is appointed with antiques and has a warmth about it. The breakfast was lovely as well.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a view if you can! - You wont be disappointed.
