“Great place!”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

Stayed for a weekend in March 2013, a group of us booked 8 houses. A great holiay village, it is in an ideal location - only a few minutes walk from the town centre. The houses were clean and well equipped, with good facilities.
Ann, the manager was friendly and welcoming and looked after us well for the weekend.
Very reasonable rates as well, good value - all in all a great weekend

A group of us booked 5 houses here for a weekend and could not fault the place ,Ann the manager looked after us great she gave us advice on where to go during the day and what pubs had the best music at night listen to her and you cant go wrong ,she also left us pull out beds in the houses where we had an extra person staying.
I had read some previous reviews about people giving out about the house they had as I said we booked 5 and had no problems everyone of them was spotlessly clean with all the mod cons you need,we especially loved the big open fires in each house which we made use of every evening making the houses very cosy
Thanks for all your help and a hassle free stay Ann!

Kinsale holiday village is perfect for a little break in Kinsale. The only thing i would say is that the tv system needs a upgrade only rte 1&2 worked and the rest were unwatchable, due to fact saorview is now in effect the tv should be better. Also maybe two gates so kids could play freely without wondering out to carpark.

I would stay again though got everything u need and its a great gateway to Kinsale!

Stayed here two years in a row for a weekend with another couple. The place is just what you need - and its a nice stroll into town, not too far away. The houses are exactly as advertised, and all that we needed - they are clean and functional.

The manager is the best asset of the place, from speaking to her when booking, and through email correspondence right down to the time that we checked out (late with very sore heads) she was so helpful, even helping the other couple out by giving them a lift into town.

Price for one weekend was 300, and we didn't incur any additional charges as we were only there for the two nights, and out for most of the time we were out of the house.

I'd definitely recommend this to families or friends!

Lot of small restaurant with local produce, they also have gluten free product available. Wifi is available almost everywhere in town. Just back from this location where we spent a week with family. Was EUR650 for the week. Additiional electricity cost was very little compared with what I have paid in other locations in Ireland.
Lidl supermarket very handy, as are the opening hours.
The houses are very clean, but to be honest I think they are in need of a mid life paint/upgrade. Small things did not work, or where chipped etc. I know they probably get the majority of the business in the summer months, hence the higher prices.
Would I go again? I would price around as there are newer house close by. If they did a refurb, I think they would be worth the price.
Alos parking was verylimited, as most houses had 2 cars, with only 1 space allocated.
Anne is the best thing about this location. A really nice woman.

Room Tip: All houses the same really....

House is as advertised - 16 identical townhouses with generous-sized sitting room with open fire, kitchen/dining room, double bedroom ensuite, spacious twin room, spacious single room, bathroom. Nice view out the back of the hills behind the magnificent town of Kinsale.
Mary makes you feel like a member of her own family visiting her-she's also extremely efficient & professional!
Good value for money.
Only drawback is that while the houses are only a 2 min walk from the centre of Kinsale, it involves a v steep hill, not suitable for a buggy/anyone with mobility concerns. If u don't have a car then grab a cab, there are plenty of them around.
Will def consider staying here next time in Cork with others
