“Ashgrove B&B”

My friend and I spent 2 nights here during our tour of Ireland. The room was small but comfortable. We had a little bit of an issue finding the B&B, but after a few missed turns we figured it out. My suggestion would be to call Margaret (the owner) and have her help you. Breakfast each morning was tasty. The B&B is well situated just on the outskirts of town and is only about a 5 minute walk to the city center.

Kinsale is a fairly pricey little town to stay in so be prepared to spend a little more on dinner than what you would in other towns. We had a great time while visiting. The Kinsale Art Festival was going on and there were quite a number of things to see and do. The local Book Stor had a literary treasure hunt that was quite fun.

I only stayed in Kinsale for one night and spent limited in the B&B but my experience was pleasant. I wasn't able to locate it at first, but Margaret was very helpful over the phone and met me outside. She made sure I had everything I needed to get settled in and gave me directions on how to get to the city centre. It was a short walk to lots of great restaurants, pubs and the harbour (which was beautiful). The wifi didn't work in my room, but was fine in the main area. The B&B was clean, comfy and in the perfect location. The breakfast was delicious. I wish I could have stayed here longer.

When we arrived we were also greeted by a young girl who showed us our rooms and disappeared. I had to find her to ask if we could put some wine & cheese in their fridge and she said of course. When Margaret showed up and we were in the kitchen getting our food she was quite miffed; she also wasn't happy about us playing cards on her breakfast table. On the plus side, she gave us some suggestions for dinner a such and the place was very clean but rooms very small. At the restaurant in town they said she was quite reserved and better at work behind the scenes so taking that into account, I would recommend this B&B.

We spent two nights here with our family while on a family vacation. Rooms were comfortable and very clean. Margaret was there to greet us when we arrived and gave us suggestions for dinner as well as the next day's activities. Breakfast was wonderful! It is a short walk into Kinsale, and you do have to watch for cars where there are no sidewalks, but we were glad of the quiet location. Would definitely consider staying there again.

we stayed here for one night. When we arrived we were greeted by a young girl who showed us our room and than quikly disappeared and left us to ourselfs. Everything was okay so far, but a bit unpersonal. Good thing was, that it was just a few minutes walk to the town centre

The B&B was very nice. Margaret greeted us and offered us tea when we arrived which was wonderful. She thought of everything including adapters. The breakfast was wonderful, served on exquisite china with lace doilies. She made us feel very comfortable and helped us map out a different route to Killarney that we would not have considered. Her restaurant recommendations were right on.
Margaret is a star.

The B&B is very nice. Rooms are large with plenty of outlets for charging all your devices. Wi-fi worked great. The B&B was quiet even though I believe it was full or close to it on the night we were there. Breakfast was excellent. It was a little tricky to find but not too bad so make sure you get good directions before you leave. It is pretty common for B&B's in Ireland to be a little difficult to find. Location is great. It is just up the hill and an easy 5 minute walk into down. In some parts there are no sidewalks so you'll have to be careful. The roads in the city centre are very narrow as well. Plenty of good value places to get food within Kinsale. We were only there for a night and visited the Desmond Castle and Charles Fort. I would skip Desmond unless you have the Heritage Card.
