We went into this pub for a couple of drinks prior to a dinner we had booked elsewhere. There was a great atmosphere in the place, the barman was friendly and eager to chat. The food looked amazing but that seems to be par for the course in kinsale....pity we didnt get to sample the food but maybe on our next visit!

Located right in the heart of the historic town centre, this large pub/guesthouse also has a good sized comfortable dining room providing excellent fresh food. It was so good we chose to eat here both nights we were in town!

Service was fantastic - so friendly and helpful but also very efficient. You can go as fast or slow as you like. We ate fish both nights and the quality is so good that the menu proudly tells you the suppliers' names for every item. It was also beautifully but simply cooked as befitting such quality produce. The mussels stuffed with garlic breadcrumbs on our first night were excellent but the fish chowder on Day 2 was a meal in itself. The hake fillets were superb but we saved the best for Day 2 when we shared a seafood platter of half lobster, crab claws and meat, oysters, prawns and 3 types of salmon. The house white wine - Chilleano - accompanied the fish perfectly and the local "8 Degrees" red ale was as good as beer gets. We paid about 70 euros each night for 2 courses, drinks and tip and it was worth every cent.

Super service both in the bar and in the restaurant! Personnel is of highest order and food, expecially sea food, of the best possible quality. Restaurant and bar manager takes care of you like you area long lost relative. We have been here many times before and will return

Yummie! If you are looking for nice, resonable piced fish restaurant in Kinsale you should go there! The two or three course meal had a good price for very nice food. If you select a la carte it is a bit pricy. Anyway we enjoyed your evening and can only say thank you to the nice staff.

This restaurants has some of the best fried mushrooms. Definitely from fresh. Cutting into them allowed steam to release with the appetizing aroma. My main entrée was pan-seared scallops which were some of the best I have had in a long time. Hubby had prime fillet which was very tender with a peppercorn sauce over it. Both entrees were very tasty and well prepared.
We arrived right before people started coming in but we never felt rushed or hurried to leave. We had stopped in the bar earlier in the day and were asked if we wanted to make a reservation. It was a good thing we did.
The dining room service ran smoothly throughout our meal. No one seemed to be rushed by the staff to vacate the table. The staff was very helpful and courteous.
A very nice evening.
