Absolutely huge choice of very good food with some really special seafood items. Recommend the Kidneys/Mushrooms in Madeira for starter though. Really tasty. Use the Bar for atmosphere and the Restaurant for sitting down for a long meal. The food is equally good in either place.

Had a girlie lunch here on Saturday, We dined in the bar, staff were very attentive and food excellent. Great choice of fish dishes. We enjoyed our visit.
The following is meant as constructive critisim as the restaurant was clean as were the toiilet facilities - above average in fact. However the bar decor is straight from the 80's, dark, heavy and outdated, could do with an overhaul.
While the food was good and a great value lunch menu was available I would not be inclined to return for an event or special occasion.
The front of the premises is dull and not very inviting in comparison to other bars and restuarants in Kinsale. We visited on a recommendation but would not have been inclined to enter from the outside view - cracked glass in one door!

I ate here very recently with my partner and some of my family. The staff were friendly and helpful despite the fact that they were obviously very busy, the atmosphere was fine, a little too dark but at least they don't play any annoying music. The main gripe I had with the place was the food. Everything i had was bland and/or badly cooked. Perhaps that was down to the strain the kitchen was under but it just wasn't good enough

Enjoyed the great tasting food at this restaurant. Mussels in wine were just fabulous as was the rest of what we ate.

myself and my Husband ate here. Service was good.we both had Mushrooms for starters. They came very overcooked and lacking flavour.Main course was beer battered cod, it was very nice and fresh. their was plenty chips with it, mushy peas and side salad. overall it was a nice meal but a little overated restaurant.Staff were very efficient and service was good.
