Don was a wonderful guide. You could envision the various historical events like the Battle of Kinsale through his story telling. He was also very down to earth and friendly

If you want to learn about Kinsale through the eyes of a local expert, who is also charming as can be, I highly recommend Don & Barry's Historic Stroll. It was not only great fun, but so informative. I never knew how important Kinsale was to the history of Europe and the entire world. As we strolled through town, Don pointed out so many points of interest and was able to give us a window into this lovely location.
We had plenty of time to take photos as we walked up and down the winding streets of Kinsale. I wish I would have recorded Don as he told us the stories and history, along with other fun anecdotes.
I think Kinsale was at the top of our list of towns we visited in Ireland, thanks in great part to taking this tour.

This excellent and informative tour really helped me understand not only Kinsale's historic role, but why Ireland was so strategic in European history. Both Barry and Don went above and beyond their own tour to help make our Co. Cork visit, and other parts of western Ireland, sooo special.

We very much enjoyed the historic stroll ! It provided us with a great historical perspective for the lovely Kinsale. When we visited Charles Fort, we understood the significance of the harbor and its impact on the Town of Kinsale. Start your stay in Kinsale with this tour!

There is no better way to digest a "full Irish Breakfast" than by strolling through Kinsale with Don and Barry. Kinsale absolutely overflows with charm with its twisting narrow streets, noisy seagulls and the salty smells around the harbor. But these fellows take you through the rich history of the place, pointing our the significance of tiny alleys and mysterious slopes (left over from rolling huge barrels of cargo down to waiting ships), and even an intact section of the town's medieval wall. Before that I never realized that a battle outside those walls changed Irish history forever (but let them tell you about it). From the Middle Ages to the sinking of the Lusitania and the Irish Civil War,this is Irish storytelling (and a bit of exercise) at its best!
