The website for this hotel doesn't sell it at all. We were very impressed with it overall. West Cork is a beautiful part of Ireland and you are in the middle of it here in Clonakilty. Many of the rooms have a view right out to see. Ours overlooked the golf course. The room was spotless and decorated in a very nice contemporary style with small but adequate flat-screen TV. The ensuite was spotless and I was very impressed with this. The bar was lovely and the staff were very friendly and hospitable. This hotel is a family-run business. The lobby is newly decorated and is very contemporary. Breakfast was tasty and the breakfast room is very nice and bright with views out to sea. There are two family dogs that have free run of the hotel - a labrador and poddle and while they were lovely, I wouldn't be keen on them in the hotel. The beach is 2 minutes walk away.

Just back from Dunmore House Hotel having spent one of the best weekend breaks with family and grandparents ever. The hotel rooms are huge with fantastic views of the sea and the beach. We were lucky with the weather too, it was hot and glorious the entire stay. The family and staff are second to none and they all made us feel so welcome and relaxed the entire time we were there. There were two weddings which added to the atmosphere for an hour or two each evening and then they retired to the function room and things quietened down a bit. The food was wonderful, the service fantastic, and the kids, aged 10 and 12, had a great time. We can completely recommend this hotel for a relaxing, luxury break. The golf was great too for my husband, my 10 year old and grandfather!!! If you are thinking of staying in Dunmore House Hotel - do it. You will love the friendliness and quality rolled into this hotel. It is a credit to the O'Donovan family.

We had our wedding there last year and always meant to write a review. The place is utterly brilliant, the staff couldn't take better care of you and the golf course is a gem! what is not to like!!

Went to Dunmore House for a wedding and the service and Smiles of the staff were second to none. The food was great and loads of it, have been to a few weddings and the food was shocking.

I hope the family that run this wonderful hotel do not become 'big heads' and remain their wonderful selves. I see a few hotels who have up the prices and the service has become poor.

Dunmore house is a must.

Booked double room for 1 night fpr 2 people. room very small consisting of one chair and one drinking glass. customer service very dissapointing. views from room was looking out on to a roof top :contary to their advertisment " all room with sea view" my colleagues were in far superior rooms for the same price as we paid which was 175 euros. we had no table and as we had breakfast in our room we had to eat from the dressing table !

My family and I stayed here for a family wedding, the third such stay at this hotel for a West Cork wedding in 4 years. The service levels were once again fantastic with the staff very courteous and helpful.

The hotel has probably the most spectacular views over the Ocean that you can imagine as it is perched on a cliff only yards from the coast road from Clonakilty. On a sunny day the views are breathtaking.

The hotel is very family orientated with very good family rooms (our room on the ground floor near the hotel entrance perfectly suited us as we had two young children). That being said the hotel is equally welcoming and suitable for couples wanting a romantic weekend away from it all.

All food and meals were of a high standard. The bar and lobby areas are particularly relaxing.

On a family holiday in Cork we had the good fortune to stay at Dunmore House for a few days. On arrival, from Kinsale, there was a universal WOW from the family - 6 adults, 4 children under 6. The WOW factor does not end with the spectacular views. Service has to be experienced to be believed. Literally - nothing was too much trouble. Picnics at short notice, very early breakfast (6.30am) on our final day ........all delivered with a smile.
One word of caution - this is a very popular venue for weddings and frequently they book the whole hotel for 2 nights. Book early........this one should NOT be missed.
