Was at a wedding in this hotel in June 2013 and have to say it was outstanding in every sense. There is a real family run atmosphere about the place and the views are amazing. Staff are extremely friendly and the breakfast is top class. Would love to return again sometime

What a lovely place to stay! We took the long drive down from Belfast to Clonakilty for a wedding and needed somewhere to stay so we asked a few of the locals at the Model T Pub for some recommendations and they came up with this little hotel.

We were pleasantly surprised an no complaints to be had whatsoever. The views out over the sea are stunning. The perfect place to get away from it all. Just be careful of the narrow road up to the hotel. We had our wing mirror clipped twice!

Since almost 15 years the Dunmore House Hotel is our favoured place in
Ireland, - for us simply the best. The comfortable bedrooms offer a stunning
outlook over the sea, the friendliness and hospitality of the owners family and
staff are great and the quality of the food is excellent. The golf course adjacent
to the hotel has also a wonderderful panaroma view and is always well kept.
As guests from the continent we also enjoy watching the regular Irish weddings,
for which the Dunmore House is very famous.

During our stay in May 2013 we were lucky to experience an additonal attraction:
Mr. Michael D. Higgins, the President of Ireland, has been in the hotel for two nights.
And we had the impression that he also enbjoyed his stay very much. As the enclosed
foto shows, the owners family and staff were very proud to be pictured with their
prominent guest and his lady. Anyhow, not only VIP’s but all guests are always
treated there like a king.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the sea.

stayed there for 1 night, wish we had stayed for 2 to be honest. the hotel is beautiful, amazing views over looking the sea, and we were fortunate enough to have great weather. The bed was huge and very comfortable.
Breakfast was lovely, we did have dinner, that was only ok soup was bland, breadrolls were hard, i had a chicken salad for mains that consisted of a bowl of leaves with chicken, 3 bits of tomato, slice of apple & a slice of orange i had to ask for dressing with it.
we will visit again

Room Tip: ask for a sea view

We have visited the Dunmore for drinks/coffees on several occasions as we visit Clonakilty on a regular basis. We spent a divine week in Clonakilty recently as we had dry sunny days, a rarity in Ireland.

We visited the Dunmore Hotel for bar food recently and we both had fish dishes and they were superb, the main courses are a bit pricey at around 15/19 euros, but the portions are large and the views are just breathtaking from this wonderful hotel. You can have sandwiches and soups more reasonably priced but the fish dishes are very good and nice for a treat.

The staff are very friendly and down to earth, The Dunmore hotel is a little Gem in West Cork and all the public areas are spotless. We will be back again !

My husband and I have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Dunmore House Hotel, the location is breathtaking, and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful.
We stayed in a lovely rrom on the second floor of the hotel, with an amazing view. The food was excellent, we had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and all the meals were of the highest quality. We throughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

My dog and I have just enjoyed an excellent short break at the Dunmore House Hotel. This is a real find for all dog lovers who want to bring their dog on holiday with them. The staff ( and hotel's own dogs!) are extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We were both made so welcome. The view from the hotel is stunning and there are beautiful beaches only a short drive away. This is a wonderful place to stay and relax and to use as a base to enjoy all the great attractions of West Cork. We have already booked to return in September! Vivian

Room Tip: Requested a room at ground level so it would be easier to bring my dog in and out.
