Description: We are delighted to bring you a taste of West Cork in beautiful Clonakilty. We opened in 2012 and are constantly improving our menus to bring something special to your experience with us. A simple yet locally sourced and affordable menu await even the most discerning palate, and our freshly baked cakes, scones and home-baked goods will tempt anyone. Added to that are local cheese, meats, chutneys, jams and salads. With specials every day on our menu, there is always something to enjoy. Cool and Refreshing Experience something out of the ordinary with our hand-picked collection of craft beers. With a small but varied selection of micro brews, we've done the hard work so you don't have to. While there are a few familiar beers available, why not enjoy a cider from Kinsale, or one of a range of refreshments from the Dungarvan Brewing Company.

“ARIS could not even honour a booking!”
Reviewed August 7, 2014

Went recently to ARIS and made a booking for later in the evening. We had a drink in DeBarra's first but when we returned at the exact time of the booking we were told by a rather loud and disinterested waitress that they would not honour it as they were now low on food?
When I explained that a booking was made etc I might as well have been talking to the wall as she just did not want to know.
The owner(s) need to get a handle on their staff fast. We will not be back and will not be recommending ARIS to anyone.

“Scrambled egg for carbonara”
Reviewed July 30, 2014

Just had one of the worse meals in a long time. I ordered spaghetti carbonara that was very dry and the egg had scrambled. My wife ordered cannelloni that was large but stuffed with spinach and very little ricotta. The two kids had pizza and though they did not complain it was very salty. We eat little or none of the meals and when the girl came down with the bill she commented 'so much food left over'. We politely and discretely explained what was wrong and though she apologised and said she would inform the chef she did not offer a refund and charged the full amount. As we had kids the kids with us we did not request a refund either. I find it hard to believe a qualified chef would serve such poor food. My advice to you is avoid this place as it is a more like a poor fast food takeaway than a professional restraurant.

“Very good but portion size of pasta could be bigger”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

Delicious food and with the sun shining, we felt that we were in the South of France. However, for 13 euro, the pasta portion for my husband was rather meagre - it was quite surprising. So, in sum, if the pasta had been larger then I would have given 5 stars.
