I highly recommend this hotel for it's location, facilities and very helpful and friendly staff. The weather was amazing so the beach and hotel were at its best. My wife, 18 month old daughter and I had a room with a balcony facing west towards the beach which was perfect. The spa was very relaxing, we had a wonderful meal in the Gulfstream restaurant, the complimentary home made cookies with afternoon tea/coffee are yummy and the staff were very helpful and friendly, especially the hotel babysitter. We enjoyed our stay so much that we will be returning to the hotel in October for an extended family occasion.

This is upscale Ireland. Beautiful beaches, make for nice walks. We didn't get there until 6:30 pm and the pool closes at 7, was disappointed that we weren't able to enjoy the spa facilities. The big swimming pool is salt water, with large waterfall massagers. The steam room wasn't working, but the sauna was nice. We did the salt water massage and facial treatment, it was a special they offered. I think the salt water massage not worth it. Facial was good(30 min). The restaurant and bar area are very nice and the food was great.
All the rooms have great views of the bay.

I highly recommend the mid week spa package for €65 which includes afternoon tea. After your treatment you are brought to the relaxation room - sit back, relax and enjoy the views. Afternoon tea is in fact a two course meal served in the quiet residents lounge and you can enjoy this meal in your robe and slippers! No one bats an eyelid! You also have full use of the pool and you can top the day off with a stroll on the beach. It is the perfect way to unwind and a total bargain

Stayed here at for 5 nights in the 4 bedroomed apartments with family.
I would rate these apartments a 3 star as they are looking somewhat tired but this did not retract from the overall rating as the main hotel is next door to enjoy and I would give this a 4 star. The food/bar/pool/etc are all very well. The Location is very good as is the service all round. I found at all times, the staff from check in to check out in all areas of the hotel to be polite/friendly/professional and a credit to this hotel. The food was excellent and served a delight. The town of Clonakilty is a 3 mile drive and worth a taxi for around 10 euros to town if one is drinking. A charming town/markets/bars.
Would go back again.
Towels/Iron/etc were provided as well a phone to reception.

Room Tip: Apartments at the start can suffer from noise from hotel delivery lorries and bins. I think the numb...

We arrived on a wet Sunday afternoon and were immediately greeted by a chatty receptionist who checked us in quickly and offered us a glass of Irish Mist to start our stay while we waited for our bags to be taken to our room. What a lovely welcome !
Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The sea view from our balcony was beautiful. The bed was huge and ensured a very good sleep on both nights . We went down to the bar which was very busy as there was a Hurling Final on the TV. The staff were lovely and we were never left waiting despite the large crowd . We saw several plates of food going out to patrons so had a look at the menu. There was plenty of choice and the prices very reasonable. At dinner time the Gulf Stream Restaurant was quiet do we opted to eat in Dunes Bar. The food was delicious, so much so that we ate there the 2nd night too and again the food was superb. There are lovely walks around the Hotel and the surrounding towns are well worth a visit. Baltimore on the day we visited was very busy with lots of people lunching outside in the sunshine which added a holiday feel to this beautiful town. We look forward to returning to Inchadoney and can honestly say to anyone looking for a relaxing break in beautiful surroundings with great food and great staff then look no further.

What a fantastic review. From reading your review it seems you had a wonderful time in West Cork & I'm delighted to see that you loved Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa so much.

Yes, the food in Dunes in superb. Our chefs are very creative and they serve a fantastic array of dishes to suit young & old. It's a very popular spot & this is reflected from the high quality of food in Dunes Pub & Bistro.

It's great to see that you enjoyed the surrounding area so much too. West Cork has so much to offer from it's beauty, buzzing villages & towns, the cuisine, a choice of activities & the friendly locals. I'm delighted that you enjoyed the views from your room & balcony. We're blessed to have the ocean on our doorstep.

I spent an idyllic overnight in Inchydoney Island Lodge and Spa with my two daughters in the end of August. We arrived on Sunday afternoon to a very warm reception and offers of refreshments. Our luggage was taken to our room while we walked on the beautiful beach followed by evening in the pool and sauna - so relaxing. Then a fabulous dinner in the Bar/restaurant after which we relaxed in the Residents lounge - what I particularly liked about this was after an initial enquiry about drinks we were left in peace and chatted for hours with lots of water on hand! Breakfast of freshly cooked porridge and pancakes overlooking the beach - just perfect - newspaper delivered to the door and could relax outside our room on the veranda - could stay there forever!!

Room Tip: We have always got a sea view - this time ground floor with patio door - could enjoy early morning s...

We stayed at Inchydoney for 2 nights and loved everything about it. The room was gorgeous, modern, luxurious, comortable and quiet and the view was beautiful, (we kept the balcony doors slightly open at night to listen to the waves crashing on the beach). The food in the bar was delicious, huge portions! Staff were all professional, friendly and helpful - the wee present of a jar of jam on check out was much appreciated! The beach is gorgeous and if you walk far enough away from the hotel you will have it to yourself. We also enjoyed relaxing in the pool area. Highly recommend this hotel for a special and unpretentious break - 2 nights really isn't enough, we had to drag ourselves away to our next destination on our trip around Ireland :-)

Room Tip: We loved the view from our room of the beach on the left hand side of the hotel - the opposite side...
