We came here for our last mini break before becoming parents. We wanted to relax and spoil ourselves and Inchydoney came highly recommended. We were not disappointed. The hotel is in a stunning location and we were lucky to have fabulous weather. We ate in the restaurant on both nights and the food was wonderful- we have had bad 'hotel food' experiences in the past but this was on another level. Breakfast was good and varied. Our room was spacious and very comfortable and the staff were superb. This was a perfect place to unwind and we'd definitely return

Stayed here last weekend. Overall very happy and will return.

Pros

1. Stunning location;
2. Excellent Rooms;
3. Very helpful and friendly staff;
4. Lovely pool and spa;
5. Disabled friendly- my mum found it great in that respect
6. Very spacious and relaxing residents lounge

Cons

1. Food in Gulfstream restaraunt overpriced for quality. Evening Meal was good but was very expensive and just didn't justify the price tag. Mains were €34. As against that breakfast was good.

2. At €250 a room per night even in mid October it's a little expensive and they don't seem to do any special deals at weekends.

Getting to Hotel is terrible there is no signposts and it is in a very small remote peninsula down a tiny wandering road outside of Clonakilty. Beautiful wooden reception area and given a wonderful personal welcome by the manager and a complimentary welcome drink. Room was very average with stains on carpet and very old and dated bathroom not what I would have expected from a 5 star resort. View from rooms is spectacular and the selling point of this hotel. Spa is in need of a makeover. Saltwater therapy pool was very good but the area desperately needed painting. Dinner in main hotel restaurant was excellent and quite reasonably priced. Some of the best seafood I have tasted and the menu listed the calorie content of each item, which is useful for dieters. Breakfast was also excellent and made good use of the local seafood. The bar menu wasn't as good and a little overpriced.

Such a shame we were only able to stay for one night! This is the kind of hotel where you could stay for a fortnight and still not want to go home!
Warm, friendly welcoming staff are everywhere so you are NEVER kept waiting. Thank you to Michael and Pat who looked after us so well!
Breakfast was lovely with views overlooking the beach, even the sun was shining!
We didn't make it in time for dinner but lunch in the bar before departure was great! Amazing food and great portions at very reasonable prices, again served with a smile!! As we were entertaining a guest from the other side of the globe it was great to show him what real Irish hospitality is all about!
Handmade chocolates, fresh oranges, robes, slippers and a nespresso! machine in our room on arrival! Amazing Kingsize bed and waterfall shower with sumpuous seaweed shampoo!
Unfortunately the spa was booked up by the time we got there but a few hours spent relaxing in the heated seawater pool and steamroom was enough to help us unwind!
Honestly this hotel is even better than it looks on the website, i know it is top end of most budgets but it is worth it! Everything about this place just makes you relax and that was exactly what we wanted! Thank you Inchydoney!!!

Room Tip: Amazing views on the 4th floor

Relaxing hotel in a beautiful scenic area. Everything was wonderful including staff and food. Wheelchair and disability friendly. they even had a separate room for tourist mateial which you should not miss. If we had not gone into that room we would have missed some information on the area. they have suggested tours to make of the area. Only for this we would not have seen the Drombeg Standing Stones. Welcoming drink of Irish Mist on arrival. the only downside was the decor in the room which was very dull and dark-mostly blacks and browns. We did not spend much time there as there was a very comfortable resident's lounge. Great Spa and sea water pool. Dont understand why it is only classed as a 4 star hotel.

Room Tip: All rooms have a sea view except the disabled one which is on the ground floor and right beside the...
