Just spent a lovely birthday weekend with my sister in Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa. The hotel is very welcoming and all the staff are very friendly, taking the time to have a chat with you and are happy to recommend local activities/places.

We had an amazing meal in the Gulf Stream Restaurant. Not bad value either, considering you get 5 courses of outstanding food for €60.

The spa is really lovely, with two beautiful relaxation rooms with a New England decor overlooking the sea. There is loads of fruit, water and herbal teas available while you relax on the beds and read your book or just enjoy the view. The pool is fantastic too. The water in the pool is piped in from the sea and heated! If you fancy some air, you can walk off dinner on the beach right outside the door. Take note of the tide time though!

The bedrooms are a bit of luxury. They are very well equipped with beautiful decor, really comfortable beds, a balcony overlooking the sea, and a Nespresso coffee maker which comes in handy after a long walk on the beach!

Whether you want to chill out or be active, Inchydoney Island has it all! Will definitely be back again........might try surfing in the local surf school next time!

Dear HMH19

Thank you for your review, we are delighted that you enjoyed the birthday weekend with us. We appreciate you taking the time to share your comments and feedback and I will be delighted to pass on the positive feedback to the rest of the team.

The Nespresso machines in the rooms are certainly a bonus and as you say, ideal to warm the bones after a brisk beach walk.

Thanks again and we look forward to welcoming you back to Inchydoney again in the future.

Kind regards

Just spend a lovely break in the fabulous Inchydoney Island lodge and spa where,as always, we were warmly welcomed and well looked after. The staff are very friendly and take time out to chat to you and make you feel right at home. The rooms were bright and spacious with our own balcony looking right out on the the beach. The beds are huge and extremely comfortable. We dined in the the gulf stream restaurant and can only describe the food as spectacular ,a really enjoyable meal.Compliments to the chef there!
The newly renovated pool area and relaxation room was a great way to while away a rainy afternoon and when the weather & the waves were permitting ,the surf wasn't bad either!
Theres a great variety of choice for the delicious breakfast which is served in the restaurant over looking stunning views of the sea.
Can't say enough about the staff,we even met a few of them when we were wandering around Clonakilty and got greeted with a big hello and a chat!
We really had an enjoyable relaxing experience in Inchydoney and will definitely come back to stay longer next time.Well worth a visit.Highly recommended.

On Arriving to the Hotel we were offered irish mist while checking in.
The rooms were exellent with a bottle of wine and hand made chocolates on the table( nice touch).
The food was also exellent and the staff in the hotel could not do enough for you.
The pool filled with sea water and the jets, I stayed alot of time in, did'nt get a chance to have any treatments.

I'm givning this hetel a top review because it deserves it, and we will be back again.

We have been welcomed in a very kindly, exclusive and professional manner by a staff searching our confort and the way to ease our difficulties (our luggage had been lost during the air trip).
The spa treatment is a delicious experience. Care is taken of your person as if you were a VIP, by gifted and competent ladies. Large choice of programs including the couple's suite, ideal for a romantic wedding anniversary...
Excellent food from the simplest to the sophisticated, staff service young and efficient.
Rooms with a touch of exotism (furniture partly chinese) - Very large beds with sea view for a great sleep.
Irish coastal landscapes and seaviews from everywhere, specially from the restaurant where you enjoy breakfast/meal like if suspended above the sea (a dramatic scene by stormy wheather).
But specially, a very kind and respectfull way to take care of guests and make them fill as if they where in a friends' home, that we have very much apreciated as french and remains in our souvenir an irish savoir faire.

Just back from a very enjoyable five night stay in the apartments at Inchydoney with my wife and two small kids. It's a great hotel with real irish hospitality. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating with young children - nothing was too much trouble. The hotel facilities are excellent, great pool area, bar, lounge and restaurant and it's located right on the beach with surfing school etc. The only negatives are the pint of Guinness could be better and the apartment exteriors are in serious need of paint - first impressions when you park outside are poor, but our apartment inside was perfect... will be back.

Dear Wiklow

thank you for your review, I am happy to read that you and your family enjoyed your stay in our apartments. Thank you for all your positive comments. With regards to the exterior of the apartments, I am happy to confirm that painting started early last week and we hope to have it complete in a week or so. As you can imagine, given our location and proximity to the sea, this is something we have to look at regularly and are very aware of.

We hope to see you and your family back in Inchydoney soon.

From check in to check out we were not disappointed with this hotel. Extremely comfortable, spacious room. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice of local produce and great bar food for lunch/dinner. The Gulfstream Restaurant serves superb food. The spa was beautiful with experienced well trained staff. Two fabulous beaches with miles of sand for people who like walking and great seas for surfers. The hotel is ideally located to explore the fabulous coastline of west Cork from Clonakilty to Skibbereen, Schull, Goleen and down to Crookhaven and Barley Cove or eastwards to Kinsale. Overall this is a superb hotel with highly trained and efficient staff who are always on hand to offer help in a professional and friendly manner. Nothing is too much trouble. This hotel is not cheap to stay in but it does not disappoint on any level.
