Stayed here for one night. Checked in late and were welcomed by the owner who was happy to chat to us and give tips on things to do and how to get there. Our room was very clean and modern and we had no faults.

We got married on May 6th and had our reception at fernhill House Hotel. What can we say!!!! From start to finish from the planning right up to our wedding day, Everything about Fernhill was fantastic. We cannot say enough about the place. Caroline, Teresa and her family and all the staff were amazing and are the reason Fernhill is a number one wedding reception venue. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was brilliant, the gardens and surroundings are beautiful, you really feel like you are at home here with the O' Neill family and that is what a wedding is all about. We couldn't fault it in any way. Everyone commented on the food and the service the next day and it is great having the whole place to yourselves. The bedrooms are beautiful and you really feel like you can kick back and just have a good day. For anyone thinking about having a wedding here you are on a winner because it ticks all the boxes. Thank you so much to all at Fernhill for giving us a magical day we will never forget, Angela & Declan Cummins

we celebrated our wedding in the Fernhill on the 10th of July last year and people are still raving about it and the meal they were served, everything was done to perfection and nothing was too much trouble for them, their attention to detail is fantastic down to the suprise of having our picture on the front of our dinner menus, small things like this make this hotel a superb wedding hotel. If anyone is thinking of booking the fernhill for their big day I honestly can say if ye do you will not be disappointed.

We stayed there on a Thursday and a Friday.
Staff were really nice and friendly.
Food was absolutely top notch.
Couldn't recommend eating there more.
Rooms were nice, clean beds comfortable.
Bit short though, I'm 6' 3" and could have done with a few more inches at the bottom of the bed.

Just back from a two night stay at Fernhill House Hotel and was absolutely delighted with it. I am very fussy about hotels and normally book a 4 or 5 star so if it were not for all the positive reviews,I would not have chosen this hotel and would have missed an exceptional experience. This hotel is 4 to 5 star standard. The decor is light, airy and elegant and the hotel is set in beautiful landscaped gardens. The bedrooms are also beautiful, large and spacious with lovely bathrooms. Our room did not have a balcony but I didn't mind that as we were at the end of the corridor on the new wing, so it was really quiet, which is what we were looking for. That said,I got a peek into some of the rooms with balconies towards the front and they were totally stunning. The next time,I'll will ask for one of those. The food was outstanding. We booked a package of 2 nights B&B and one dinner and the dinner really had the wow factor. It was fine dining at its best. The breakfasts were also lovely, everything you could want and excellent service.Overall, terrific value for money. The staff and owners also deserve a mention. They were so nice and friendly, made us feel very welcome and couldn't do enough for us but in a non intrusive way. This really is Irish hospitality at its best and as we were also blessed with fabulous weather,it was a really lovely break. As someone else said,Fernhill house is a perfect base for touring magical West Cork.I can't wait to go back!
