An enjoyable tour designed for tourist visitors to show the history of Jamesons and the old distilllery. A glass of Jamesons at the end.

We had a great time on the distillery tour. Our guide was very knowledgable and this non-whiskey drinker may become a convert. The tour goes in and out of several buildings. It was pouring rain, but the guide provided everyone with ponchos and limited the time spent outdoors. Afterwards, for the tasting, you receive either a straight Jameson or a mixed drink (Jameson and ginger ale with lime- delicious- I recommend if you are not a whiskey drinker), soft drink, or juice. I highly recommend you enjoy lunch in the restaurant. The food was fantastic. I had the Irish stew, which was perfect on a rainy day and I tasted the Pie of the Day, which my brother claimed was the best meal he ate while in Ireland.

Worth a visit! Especially when you are into Whiskey. They offer a tour at the restored old distillery with Whsikey tasting afterwards. They have a well equipped shop with whiskies and souvenirs

The tour of the distillery takes you around the various processes involved with the whiskey making in the old distillery.

The guides are knowledgable and try to inject some humour into the talks.

At the end of the tour a short tasting session takes place with a handful of volunteers, whilst the rest of the group takes advantage of the free whiskey from the voucher as part of the entrance ticket.

I am not sure what other visitors who have written reviews have compared this distillery to but compared to one I visited in Scotland this was much better.

Midleton is also a pleasant small and friendly town to visit.

We enjoyed the tour and sights. The price was ok too. But just like I've found with other beer/wine/distillery tours, the bigger the name, the lamer the tasting.
