Description: Inside The Hunted Hog as the open fire roars, locals and out of towners can be heard speaking of the boar. Over a smooth stout and plate of good food, you're invited to relax and soak up the mood. In days gone by, this pub was once owned by well-loved Irish comedian & actor, Pat Shortt.

Lovely, cosy little pub. Had lunch here and the food was excellant. Best vegetarian option served in a pub ever.

“Cosy Dinner!”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

Very warm welcoming pub with friendly atmosphere. The food was well priced with large portions. I wasn't too keen on the quality, could have more of a selection on the menus.

“Perfect Irish Pub”
Reviewed January 27, 2013

Old style cosy pub with great food. Well worth a lunch stop. We only had lunch, smoked slamon on soda and chicken sandwich but you could taste the freshness from everything. Salmon was gorgeous.

“Hard to leave”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

Lovely pub. Good atmosphere. Good service. Good pint. Good food. Good music. Good fire. We stopped in for an hour on a gloomy Wednesday afternoon in January and found it very hard to leave almost three hours later! Small car park to rear.

“"mushroom Soup " like SOOT!”
Reviewed January 16, 2013

Had mushroom soup and was disgusted with presentation of bowl of black water, salted to 100%.
Definitely from a tin of Soup Mix bought in Cash & Carry.
Deplorable, fresh mushrooms regardless of brown content, could not be as black as this soup.
