“Easy people to deal with, great location and phenomenal food!”

The title pretty much says it all. My wife and celebrated our wedding there recently and could not have asked for better. The views out to ballycotton are stunning and the food is just top quality. The kitchen catered for 138 people and each plate was to a standard one would expect in a small high quality restaurant. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun. We enjoyed the place to ourselves for the day/night and recommend it highly.

Carola and Dan chose Barnabrow Country House as the venue for their wedding reception last Saturday, September 21st. It was a very wise choice. Barnabrow is a beautiful location for a wedding reception. On that warm September evening the atmosphere was magic as the happy couple, their family members and guests relaxed and enjoyed the sunshine on the deck as they savoured their pre-reception drinks and canapés and looked over the green fields of East Cork to the sea and to Ballycotton Lighthouse in the distance. Head Chef Stuart Bowes deserves full marks. The food quality and presentation were outstanding. Each course was excellent and the beef and fish in particular were superb. Service by a team of efficient and friendly staff members in the unique ambience of the main dining hall added to the enjoyment of the occasion for everybody. Many of the family members and guests stayed over in the old house with its beautifully decorated bed rooms and antique furniture or in the lovely bedrooms in the Courtyard. or in the self catering cottages. The real Irish breakfast was excellent. Many thanks to Geraldine, to her Head Chef and to her wonderful, hard working team at Barnabrow Country House for making the wedd ing reception for Carola and Dan last Saturday such a happy, memorable and most enjoyable occasion.

I was best man at wedding here. A charming environment, with an attentive, friendly and competent staff, great food and a good function room, made for a memorable day when people put at ease and enjoyed themselves.

We got married here in July 2013. the venue was more than we wished for. old style buildings, and every room had a different theme to it. While the weather was fantastic, and really complimented the surroundings, it is a day we will remember for a long time. The staff were friendly and helpful, the whole day in general ran smoothly. the food was faultless.( i didnt really fancy the breakfast, too continental for me ( eggs Benedict and smokey bacon )......nothing too much to complain about here. other than the bar closing at 130am, which is the policy here. but then again, you can go across the yard into the barn, and carry on the sing song until the early morning. 5 stars to the staff and owner for making our day a special one.

My wife and I chose Barnabrow for our wedding reception, and we were extremely happy with every aspect of the experience. We heard compliments from our guests all day long about the quality of the food, the friendliness of the staff and the unique feeling of the place. I couldn't recommend it more highly as a special place for a wedding.

I recommended Barnabrow as venue to my sister & brother in law for their wedding having been impressed at having attended a wedding there previously. We had a brilliant day and there are lots of positives about this venue when u choose it as yours. Food was lovely the staff are very good, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the front of house Lady lets this place down. Especially for a family wedding when u have been there before and after it would be nice if you were shown some recognition. Warmth means a lot in the hospitality industry.

We recently had a wedding here. It was described by many as the best wedding they were ever at. This is in large part to the fantastic service and food that was on offer. The setting and "village-like" setup made for a great day. Granted the buildings are not pristine, but they are very nicely laid out and are very photogenic. This makes for a great rustic location for one's wedding, with unspoilt country views, the couple would want to be laid back though and let the excellent staff take care of the rest! We were given free reign of the place and were up till the small hours singing songs! We couldn't have had a better day out. Couldn't recommend this place highly enough for those who want a low key and personal flavour to their wedding day.
