Stayed one night here this week arrived having not booked in advance as we were not sure where we were going to stay at all during our recent trip to Ireland. We were pointed to this place and were met to a welcoming people and were quickly checked in and in our room and everything were pointed out to us. The menu choice at the bar in the evening was vast and decently priced. Breakfast there was plenty of choice and excellent enough to keep us going all day while we travelled to our next destination. At the time we stayed some maintenance work was going on like some painting but this did not affect my stay at all. The only thing that was disappointing was the shower could have been better as the force of the water was slow, but all in all very good enjoyable stay.

We stayed here overnight and had dinner. It is a beautiful building with some lovely features. The rooms are basic and have none of the charm of the of the downstairs area. It was clean and there was a "new carpet" smell in the hallway. There was a wedding on the night we stayed and we were told in advance but also advised that it wouldn't be noisy. A hotel will never know how noisy or otherwise guests are going to be. It wouldn't be fair to hold them responsible for partygoers locking themselves out of their room and waking everybody on the corridor except the other occupant of the room they had just locked themselves out of. However I'm not sure how they thought placing us over the room where the band/dj was playing would make for a restful night.

We travelled on a "deal" and dinner was included as part of the deal. The menu was very limited. The food was mixed, v nice main, poor starter and average desert. The service was friendly but not of restaurant quality. There was no bread offered with the meal even though there was a basket of bread on display...... maybe it was being kept for breakfast. The dining room was a nice room. Breakfast was good.

The deal was very reasonable but I'd rather have paid more and got more.

Stayed 2 nights for a wedding, Any help we needed while setting up for the wedding just seemed like such a pain for the staff, they just did not seem to want to help!! One lady was really nice but then when we were checking out she was an absolute demon to us!!! However besides this we got a great room rate to include dinner and the rooms were gorgeous and the food was to DIE FOR!!!!!!

Arriving at the hotel, I was very impressed with the exterior and garden and experienced a friendly check in. More than pleased with my room. Spacious. Spotlessly clean and luxuriously stylish. Very happy with the reliable wi-fi. Ate in the bar, as I didn't fancy formal dining. Ordered a vegetarian dish as I wasn't too hungry. It was delicious. Bar was well stocked and staff in bar very friendly and helpful.

Slept very well in comfortable bed and ate the most delicious breakfast ever. The menu even has French Toast and Maple Syrup! First time I've seen this in an Irish hotel. Lovely selection of homemade yogurt and fruit compots and seeds and dried fruit, as well as a great selection of pastries (I really feel that breakfast is a good sign of a quality hotel)

I will make it my business to stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: Good corporate rate

We recently had our wedding ceremony and reception in Springfort Hall Mallow. This Hotel was absolutely amazing from start to finish. From the moment you enter the drive to the hotel you experience the amazing grounds. The grounds are amazing for your professional photographs. This is a family run hotel and you experience the family feeling the minute you enter the door. I can't say enough about the staff they were absolutely outstanding and so helpful and so easy to deal with, especially Paul, Kieran and Mrs Walsh who took care of all our arrangements.

The reception room is so beautifully decorated and is set up beautifully for the Civil Ceremony. We had some expectations of what the room would look like but the staff exceeded any expectations we had and again when it was set up for the reception. Beautiful stone work, great size dance floor and a good size bar with great staff.

All our guests are still talking about the amazing food at the reception and will still be talking about it for years to comes. There was such a great choice from starters to main courses to deserts to choose from and they were all amazing. The service during the meal was very efficient and the timing between courses was perfect.

The honeymoon suite was amazing. Its in the front of the hotel with beautiful views of the extensive gardens. The room is very spacious with a beautiful four poster bed, a flatscreen TV (not that you need it) a large fireplace and free standing old style wardrobe which adds to the old style feel that you will experience throughout the hotel. The bathroom is very spacious with a large bath and shower. We had also stayed the night before our wedding in one of the standard rooms in the hotel and this was also very spacious with a good size bathroom.

There was a great selection of food on offer for breakfast each morning. A great choice of cereals right to your good old reliable fry up and plenty of juice options.

We just want to say again how amazing the staff were from the time we booked our wedding to the day after our wedding and we would have no problem in recommending this hotel. We had visited other hotels before we booked our wedding and non compared to the treatment and service we received in Springforthall. Paul and Kieran gave us a day we will never forget and we will be forever grateful for all their advice, help and suggestions. Thanks again to all at Springforthall and hope to have the pleasure to see you all again soon

The new Mr & Mrs Kelleher :-)

This is a very nice country house with excellent rooms and a very warm welcome from the front of house staff. We had lunch in the bar which was super I had the roast of the day sandwich and the chowder and my wife opted for the springfort hall burger all were delicious both the burger and the sandwich had a very generous portion of slow roasted Hereford which melted in your mouth chowder was beautiful plenty of mixed fish and nice brown bread. We booked into the restaurant for dinner that night we had a gourmet five course dinner as part of the package to be honest although it was enjoyable it was far from gourmet there was no choice for first or second course course deep fried goats cheese croquette served on a saucer second course very salty duck pate neither of which I would normally choose. Main course two choices slow roast Hereford or pan fried cod which incidentally was fish of the day for lunch. The beef was so nice at lunch I chose it again my wife went for the cod which was a bit over done beef once again was very nice. Deserts were a trio selection nicely presented and delicious . The four courses were served in less than an hour you were literally putting down your fork and the plate was removed with one hand and replaced with the other so there was now chatting over a nice glass of wine between courses not great for the indegestion. A very nice lady went around asking was everything all right we didn't complain as it would have ruined the night more to get involved in negative conversations much better to have a suggestion form in the rooms. Breakfast next morning a good selection of juice bread fruit cereal and yogurt the rest was chaotic cooked breakfast was in three food warmers with three things in each one and one serving spoon for each warmer which lead to beans being all over scrambled eggs etc that's when there was food they constantly ran out which lead to queues they constantly ran out of plates as well. This could all be sorted out very easily by gettin extra food warmers one for each item ten people at 3 warmers trying to get 3 different items out of each one while trying to hold the lid in one hand leads to chaos if there were 10 warmers spaced out it would be calm. It was very busy for breakfast as the hotel was fully booked but you have to plan ahead. Despite all this we enjoyed the stay in this lovely venue they just need a bit more organisation around breakfast and dinner. The staff were all really nice and very hard working.
