“Nice food, unlucky night!”
Reviewed April 22, 2014

Surroundings,menu and service all great.

Nachos and chicken wings starters were gorgeous, the 2 of us shared these and were (almost) stuffed!
Beef enchiladas and striploin steak were full of flavour and cooked perfectly. All of the food was beautifully presented.

The sangria blanco was very tasty and great value!

Unfortunately we were seated beside a couple who had clearly been drinking for hours (not eating?!) - and due to the close proximity of the seating were hard to get away from... they repeatedly interuppted our meal and were practically on our knees looking at our food... yuck! To top it off there was a large party of about 12 people who were literally screaming over the top of each other to be heard. Usually wouldn't bother me in a restaurant but in one as intimate as this, not good! - not sure what the restaurant could have done about this but unfortunately it really put a dampener on our night as we could barely have a conversation with each other. Other smaller parties definitely felt the same and seemed to be leaving pretty quickly, as did we.

“Always quality”
Reviewed March 8, 2014

Used a menu pages voucher for a meal with the family. Food was fab as always and the kids meal is really good value and good quality grilled chicken rather than the usual nuggets or tenders. Would advise having a cordial / dilute drink available for children however, as there was only orange juice. Can't fault the food or the service. Our only complaint was a large group of other diners - whose kids were taking over the restaurant. We have kids ourself so we know they won't sit still and we don't expect them to be quite but bit of respect for other people wouldn't go amiss! Fair play to the staff though. Friendly and attentive as always despite having to step over children!! Food is so tasty and huge portions. I think its a good sign when you return to a place and the staff are always the same. Must be a good place to work as well as eat!! Been many times and looking forward to the next visit!

“Mexican Magic!”
Reviewed February 28, 2014

I've been to this establishment on numerous occasions and have to say it's one of my favourite restaurants. The food is amazing and the staff are incredibly friendly (especially the blonde girl!). We usually start with the sample platter for 2 and have tried various mains, all delicious and well-presented. The cocktails are to die for and the pitchers of margarita are great value. Also, love the music. We even got a request in! Would definitely recommend La Sirena to anyone looking for a fun night with great food. 5 stars.

“Valentines night”
Reviewed February 28, 2014

I'd won a Valentines Night meal for 2 in La Sirena. To be honest I'm always a bit weary of going out for meals on Valentines night, but there were no problems here. La Sirena was busy, not quite full - there were a couple of empty tables at 9, but the atmosphere was good. Within a few minutes of taking our seats we had cocktails on order. A few minutes after that our order was in. Although not quite regulars of La Sirena, we've been there enough to know the menu quite well (and it's on menupages.ie). We had the sticky pork ribs and the prawns for starters. Both were very tasty along with the accompanying salsas and salads. For main we got the Fish Vera Cruz and the Tuna Steak. The portions of all courses were generous and by the end we were too full for deserts (I'll have to wait till next time to try the Churros!!!).

So, a lovely meal, tasty, generous portions, in a great setting (Love the Ramones museum and the Graham Knuttel painting). We'll be back, again and again....
