Howth View B&B is one of the nicest I have ever seen. It is perfectly situated in Portmarnock to explore Dublin by bus. You can also get there by bus from Dublin Airport easily. The hostel is owned by Ann - she will give you a warm welcome and really is interested in you having a good stay. The rooms are nice and clean and the food is excellent. Ann can also provide important informations for bus travellers and things to do. When I come to Dublin next time I will stay there again - definitly!

Ann was very friendly. She couldn't have been nicer or more sincere. She was the best part of this B&B. The location being so close to the beach and airport was also very nice. We took the bus to the city center which took about 30 minutes. The bus stop is just a 100 meters from Ann's home. The room was very bland...nothing to write home about. The beds were too hard and my wife and I didn't have a nice sleep. The shower was too small, even for Europe, and the water pressure was very weak. Ann was so nice and so friendly that she made you forget these shortcommings. The breakfast was great.

  • Liked — Ann was super friendly and very nice
  • Disliked — the beds and small shower plus low water pressure

A great place to stay that is owned by friendly and helpful people. Great location. 20 minutes to Dublin International Airport. Less than 5 minute drive to nearest DART station. Hop aboard the DART and you are in Dublin city centre in about 20 minutes! Don't know where you are going or how to get there? Anne will make sure you have that information before you start out to explore the area. Great breakfast with fantastic bread and scones. (You might not need lunch). Would defintely recommend!

We stayed at Howth View for two nights while in the area for a concert at Malahide Castle. I could not recommend this B&B more! We had a very warm welcome early the first morning with tea and toast to warm us up after struggling through the rain. The room was lovely and so relaxing that we got more sleep than we could have hoped for and the whole B&B was very clean and well presented. The owners were great to talk to and very helpful with maps and ideas of things to see in the area. The location was great; right near the beach and very convenient to get into Dublin as well. Breakfast was delicious (best omlette I've had!) with wonderful homemade bread and they were kind enough to leave us a bite to eat for breakfast the day we left as we were leaving very very early. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would recommend Howth View to anyone.

We stayed like every year in Portmarnock at Howth View by Anne and John with a great hospitality. It is a superb location for Dublin, bus station for Airport und city; lovely walks along the beach to Malahide and a short way to Howth. The breakfast is wonderful and specially the homemade brown bread!!
