Just back from a fun day out! My kids are 15 and 10. We did the Bora Borg, Adventure Kingdom and lough key experience. €65 inclusive! The cafe is pricey but this is common of all tourist attractions. I would recommend it for an activity day!

The Lough key forest park is a lovely area with interesting history and lovely forest and lakes but, it is over priced for the center when you go to the lough key experience , Boda Borg, which is a good idea but not very well planned you have to wait a good length to go in to doors or the next room , and the adventure play kingdom is a play ground you are paying into, is cost 65 euros for family of 2+2 and haven to add the eating their and the travel expense i wont be paying it again . to visit . would recommend the lovely Forest park and lake for a visit .

We spent the day at Lough Key and both our children (15 and 8 year old)loved Lough Key. We thought Boda Borg was great and a wonderful way of spending time together. The waiting time in between rooms we thought was fine as it gave an opportunity to get your breath back and think about tactics. Well worth the money if only there was a Boda Borg in Liverpool!

Went last Saturday camped one night and came home,. We spent over €170 to keep 3 kids interested for 4 hours on Saturday, as well as nearly €33 euro to pitch a family tent in a field with no electric. We ran out of money spending over €275 in 24 hours in the park. Boda Borg useless and a waste of money as was the canopy walk and moylurg tower which we found un-interesting and extortionatly priced, the zip wire was also frighteningly expensive and the cafe was like a cattle market giving out slops. We complained to the general manager who told us to put it writing before arrogantly brushing us off. NEVER EVER AGAIN .
Went down to the shore dodging the dog feces to be confronted by human feces in the lough from cruisers tied up. I confronted a member of staff who shrugged her shoulders telling us it was not her concern
Camping was primitive and loud, Granted it was raining, but the facilities are rubbish, the toilets very smelly and the security man a waste of time. We should have slept in the car.
The external park is nice , so we went to rent some bikes to see it on Sunday between showers , but had to back off because of the price. We simply couldn't afford any more.
The company Moylurg Rockingham Limited seem to be squeezing every extortionate penny out of families . €5 to use a play park per child, the free outside park has been virtually stripped to force families to use the pay facility., €4 to park your car, 4 Ice creams over €10...TAKE MY ADVICE STAY AWAY...the only thing they did not do was shake us upside down before we left to see if we had anymore money left.

This is the General Manager responding to your review. I would like to confirm that you did NOT speak with myself as mentioned above as I was actually off duty on the day of your visit. This element of your review is factually incorrect.
I am concerned about your issues and would really like the opportunity to discuss them with you as we have not received such a completely negative review like this since the upgrades to the park over the last few years and I would like to be given the chance to address these with you and for ourselves to possibly learn from any insights you may have to improve our product offering. If you could email us your details to info@loughkey.ie and I can make contact with you.

My son Rian (16) and I went on the Rockingham Roll which was a really laid back tour of the Lough Key Forest Park on Segways. It's advertised as being one hour but with the training it was more like two hours. We were not complaining. The Segways were terrific fun and easy to master. Colm was a wonderful teacher and guide. Afterwards we sat on the deck at the restaurant in the sun and ate two sandwiches. I had a tuna sandwich. Can't remember what Rian had but it was very good value.

I highly recommend the Rockingham Roll as a novel way to spend an afternoon. It was 25 euro each but well worth it.
