After touring most of Ireland, this B&B was the last one where we stayed. A party of 4, we shared 2 rooms for 2 nights. The owner was very nice, she let us choose our rooms. They were spatious, with lots of light. Beds were the most comfortable we ever had in a B&B, and the perfect scenery made for a relaxing moment. Breakfast is excellent (Helen can cook a mean soda bread, and heavenly pancakes), and we got awesome tips about local bars, restaurants and band.

This review is based on a trip to Ireland from June 2nd to 19th when my wife and I stayed in 7 B&B. So there is both a comparative and an absolute dimension in these rankings. Weather was more humid and cold than normal.
Stayed there one night. Instructions to find it were precise. Parking was easy. Room was average size. Large bed was comfortable and bathroom was OK. Heating turned when we asked and also on timer. Light road noise at night since the B&B is off a major highway. Nice lounge
Reasonable TV selection and wifi worked fine. Breakfast was very nice with smoked salmon.
Given the price and quality of service, I rank it very good (would be excellent save for closeness to road).
A gem close by: the Corlea trackway

Forest Park B&B compares with any 5 star stay. Helen is a wonderful, friendly hostess who delivers beautiful finishing touches to her decor, and service. We were welcomed with a smile and promptly given a beautiful afternoon tea of homemade chocolate cake, served in the spacious dining room. Breakfast was also scrumptious, with a huge variety from both a continental or full breakfast selection. The rooms are huge and modern with high quality furnishings. Our room looked out on to a gorgeous sunny courtyard and garden. There are several areas like this in the grounds, allowing guests to seek solitude and privacy if they desire. The double-glazed windows block out any traffic noise.
The adjacent Lough Key Forest Park is a wonderful area to explore. Our only regret was that we could only stay one night. We thoroughly recommend this fist class B&B.

When we arrived cold & wet at 3:30pm the house was closed with no signs of life & no-one answering the phone. Had to wait for 30 minutes before Helen arrived from the school run. The rooms were cold & we had to ask Helen to put the heating on. That said,,,, the rooms are nice, the beds are very comfortable. Helen was great. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice & cooked to order.

Main criticism is the missing kettle, tea & coffee in the room.
