Driving through Enniscrone, my wife and I called in for a coffee etc. Great friendly service (I liked the offer of coffee refills when required) this is not a large cafe, but is well presented, with a real 'summery' feel to it, even in Feb. Traceys serve good varied food and we would recommended it for either snacks or full hearty meals. Also has a nice healthy juice bar. And if surfing is your scene when you finish your coffee pop upstairs to the surfing shop.

“Nice stop for a break”
Reviewed February 3, 2014

While driving through Enniscrone we were looking for a nice stop to have a quick break. This place looked inviting from the outside so we stopped by. The place is niceley decorated but quite small. The menu has a few good choices from sweet to hearty. The smoothie selection was very good and tasty, we also liked the fair trade coffee offer. I can recommend the toasted brie and cranberry sandwich. Nice Cafe, well done!

Hi again!

I'm so glad you posted a review....especially a lovely one :)

Yes I was working when you visited the cafe and I am delighted that you enjoyed your Brie and Cranberry toastie. Our coffee is Fair-trade and Organic and we are happy that you noticed. We do love our smoothies and are glad that you enjoyed your Orange, Pineapple and Banana one. The cafe is quite small but our space is doubled by our outdoor seating which is out in the summer time and during the busy days...when the weather is good of course!

Thanks so much for stopping in and for your review,
Denise

“Excellent ”
Reviewed November 30, 2013 via mobile

Went in for a late breakfast on a Saturday morning. Cafe was very well presented with a good big breakfast and plenty of offers of refills for coffee. Would recommend for anyone looking for good food in the area. Also had gluten free bread available.

“Good Food poor kitchen hand hygiene”
Reviewed November 8, 2013

Lovely location, food convenient and service good. Staff nice, Management needs improvement in Hygiene, food handling and cross infection possibilities........
I enjoy homemade soup but on the day the soup was overcooked and very thick..... Staff did offer an alternative and I accepted a lovely sandwich.
People return for the experience but watching Chef was stomach churning.

Hello,

I'm terribly sorry to hear your visit was not as good as it should have been. I am shocked to hear that you think the hygiene wasn't up to scratch (although we appreciate you putting your time into notifying us).

All of our staff are fully trained to a very high standard in food handling and preparation. Our very recent Health and Safety Inspection was satisfactory and our kitchen is extremely clean.

We have colour coded boards for each food type i.e. breads, cooked meats, raw meats, fruit & vegetables, gluten free bread... so there is no risk of cross contamination whatsoever. Our kitchen is fully equipped with hand washing stations which all have anti-bacterial hand wash. We will have a chat with the kitchen staff to address the issues that you outlined in your review as we take any criticism very seriously and like to use it constructively.

I am sorry once again for your poor experience and can only hope that you give us a second chance to redeem ourselves, we take kitchen health and safety seriously and our hygiene is to the highest standards. Thank you for your review and I hope we see you again.
