Description: Located in the coastal village of Enniscrone, Co. Sligo, Áit Eile brings you traditional food with a difference in our intimate yet casual restaurant. We put a strong emphasis on locally sourced produce, showcasing free-range artisan meats and fresh seafood, this is driven by our passion for travel, food, wine and coffee. Local favourites such as The Black Pig of Enniscrone and Seafood Linguine have been a constant in an otherwise ever-changing menu. Our team, better known as the Áit Eile Family, are here to join you on your journey through the evening. We look forward to welcoming you at our cosy place by the sea.

We travelled to Enniscrone today for a walk with our 6 month old and decided to get some lunch. We always enjoyed Ait Eile in the past and had recommended it to numerous friends. It was just after 12.55 and the restaurant door was shut. We went in to the bar to ask what time it was open. The barman kindly told us 1pm but that we could go down the internal stairs and sit down there. They may not be ready but we could wait. We were very grateful as it was raining. We headed down and waited at the bar. A waitress emerged from the kitchen after about 5 mins. It was now after 1pm. I explained that the barman had said we could come down and wait, she looked perplexed and stated "we're not open yet" I apologised and again explained that we were told to come down. She looked at her watch and stated that "the door was closed, the chefs not here yet so you'll have to wait" she then said "I suppose you can take a seat" She then proceeded to go to open the main door to restaurant. We proceeded to leave as why should we be treated in this way when we were giving them our business. We went to a nearby hotel and had a lovely lunch, and the waiters and waitresses were extremely polite. We won't be returning and will be informing friends and family of our experience

Saturday night was really busy with a really nice welcoming atmosphere. Sunday nights alot quieter, great to sit by an open fire with a great pint.

We were recommended to this restaurant by our B&B. We got the early bird special. The restaurant has a promising location for a good view but due to a car park being out back - it gets blocked most of the time. The Atlantic seafood chowder was delicious & I wish I had stopped there. I followed it with standard Fish & Chips based on the recommendation of the waitress over the baked cod. Boy, was she wrong. My husband got the baked & it was much better then what is supposed to be a simple dish. The wait staff was a little slow considering there wasn't many other people in the establishment.
