We booked this accommodation and location in error, but rather than cancel we visited Enniscrone for the long weekend with no expectations. What a wonderful stay we had. The guest house was clean and spacious with great service and hospitality. The restaurant served great food with locally produced ingredients. I have dietary problems but Liam the chef 'omitted' the cream & butter but still managed to produce a tasty dish. They are opening a wine and tapas bar next week and I am looking forward to my return visit to sample their fare. We were very fortunate with the weather on our visit and we had such a relaxing stay looking at the waves while we sipped our wine and enjoyed our food. Our room looked out over a spectacular view of the Atlantic ocean with its surf waves and mountain views - if only we could bottle it. Our thanks to Martina and staff for their friendly welcome and best of luck to Jennifer & Liam who have an obvious passion for what they do in the dining room. Continued success to all of them.

Room Tip: Make sure you look for a room with a sea view

Really enjoyed our stay at the Waterfront. We had a very comfortable room overlooking the sea. Breakfast was generous and relaxed. Martina and her staff were very helpful, especially in assisting us with our car rental crisis. When you stay in a small hotel like this you realise the value of the personal attention you receive that you would never get in a large hotel.

If staying at Waterfront House I highly recommend staying in an ocean view room - there is a fabulous view of the length of Enniscrone beach which you can enjoy whilst sitting at a well positioned table by the windows (glass of wine in hand recommended) .
The rooms may not be super-modern but they are very spacious and comfortable with tea & coffee facilities - all kept spotless.
Breakfast is served in a large room on the ground floor room - lovely strong coffee served in a cafetiere, a small buffet selection of cereal, juice, fruit & yoghurts and a good selection of cooked to order hot breakfasts.
There is free parking behind the hotel and a lift servicing all floors.
Martina was a very welcoming host and was on hand to assist when needed.
It's only a short walk up a slight incline to the main street, a brief journey down some steps to get to the beach and the seaweed baths are right next door.
I would recommend this small, friendly hotel for anyone visiting Enniscrone.

Wonderful large rooms, great breaky and hospitality like no other. I travelled with my family (all over 50) and we would definitely return. Nothing was a problem for Martina (the owner) and her helper in the breakfast room. Great atmosphere, next to the sea and far better than the 2 main hotels we visited close by. Good value for money and has the added benefit of a lift.
miss this at your peril !
