“Another great time in Bundoran”
Reviewed April 26, 2013 via mobile

Great Easter in Bundoran. Only came for 4 days this time due to Ferry discount. The weather in Bundoran was so cold Easter week we couldn’t believe it. The house however was great, lovely and warm and complimentary coal to start. Leo was telling us he has never know it so cold for this time. So thanks for the extra efforts Leo.
Houses again a great size we brought the kids bikes this time, big hall to put them in. A couple of good days surf for the kids too.
Not a lot open in the town, poss due to the cold weather.
We spend most nights in this time and had family time which was long overdue.
Thanks once again and see you in the Summer.

We stayed at Portbeg the 2nd week of Easter. The house was fabulous with all the mod cons you'd expect. The standard of cleanliness really struck me compared with other places I've stayed. The house was also very spacious which was great because we'd 4 kids so they weren't all on top of one another and I liked the idea of downstairs bedrooms as well as upstairs because we'd a toddler. The owners & staff Leo, Joanne & Joseph were particularly helpful & friendly. We had a courteousy call a day or two before we arrived and when we got there a cot & highchair we'd requested for the baby was in place. The location is beautiful too with spectacular views. Would love to go back in the warmer weather in the Summer.

Found the owners Joanne and Joseph very helpful. Used the house as a base for a 3 day golfing trip in the region and it was perfect.
The house have lots of space and ours was very clean (number 11). The heating wasn't working on the first morning and the owners had a plumber out within 20 mins to fix the problem. Just to note it's extra for electricity/heating (€7 per day).

Only issue was that the mattresses could do with updating, they are a bit hard.

We got a deal for the weekend, so it was €380 between 4.

I would recommend.

hi guys,
just wanted to say thanks so much for organising the house and the lovely service for us last weekend. the heating was on and the house was lovely and cosy on our arrival even in a very cold march in donegal ! its located in a great spot and is in walking distance of the sea and town but also was a great base for us with the car. we cooked most of our meals there as we had brought a lot of our own food and the kitchen was really well stocked so we really enjoyed our stay. looking forward to staying again over the summer!!

Bundoran again for the New Year. Great time yet again. Managed to get the Detached house and very pleased. Fire was ready & lit for us. Weather was very wet but again we come prepared for this. Loved the new Wifi lounge at the office. Great for getting up to date with my work emails.
Had a lovely meal at the Peak. Will take our dog next time, owners told us we could only if pre booked. Great for us as we usually use the kennels. Will have to wait to July when we can visit Bundoran again.

Just back from a 7 night stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our break in Bundoran. We were immediately amazed with the amount of space and storage areas in the house and in each bedroom. We were two families of 4 adults and 5 kids, 3 of the kids are aged 11 to 7 and they had SUCH fun at night time hiding and playing in the huge walk-in wardrobes and hotpresses!!

By day there are so many convenient walks and short drives to fabulous beaches (Tullan Strand is a FABULOUS must as is Rossknowlagh, a 15 min drive away), but the cliff walk which is right at your doorstep practically, is a real bonus which brings you right along the cliff (a very safe, railed in, tarmaced walk) to Bundoran town, a ten minute, beautiful and breathtaking walk.! We sampled one or two pubs in the town and all were extremely welcoming but the Bridge Bar on the main street by far had the most welcoming and local homely feel.

If I had to make ONE complaint about the house, it was the mattresses. They were all extremely uncomfortable and hard.

From start to finish, our communication with Donegal Bay was fantastic and prompt. We were met on our arrival by the wonderful Joseph who is just so welcoming and could honestly not do enough for us. He is such a pleasant, genuine and happy person, he makes the start of your holiday!!! Not to mention Alfie and Yazzy who were a HUGE hit with our kids!!!

Donegal Bays aim must be for everyone to be cosy, relaxed and made to feel like they want to come back.................because that is EXACTLY what they did for us! Mattresses were definetely a downfall and if that was a bit more comfortable well then, we cant WAIT to return!

Kela & William McLoughlin
