Description: Belleek Castle is set in the heart of Belleek Woods. It is a cosy romantic hotel with plenty of character and award-winning restaurant. Afternoon tea is available daily from 12pm until 5pm. Tours also take place each day of the dungeons where you will get to see and hold Irelands largest private collection of armour and we also boast a collection of fossils - plus a few extra surprises! The Armada bar has been constructed from a spanish armada ship which makes it boast plenty of character and is admired by all who visit the castle. Our restaurant is cosy and romantic with an old world feel. We are proud to serve gourmet dishes without the gourmet price! Our head chef Stephen uses only the freshest local ingredients available to create masterpieces in the kichen. The castle is also an ideal wedding venue with several weddings held here every year since 1971. We strive to ensure that everyone has the most perfect day possible and where better to celebrate such an occasion than in a romantic castle.Belleek Castle is a home away from home and is well worth a visit - we hope to be welcoming you here soon!

“great evening/atmosphere”
Reviewed December 21, 2012

Yes, I have heard this called a tourist trap - maybe it is. But for someone who is not from the area, I spent a very pleasant evening here with my hosts. We were greeted and escorted to the sitting room, in front of the fireplace, perfect for the rainy evening. Our courses were nicely presented (we chose off the 4 course meal menu) and each selection was prepared as requested. During the course of the meal the chef visited our table to inquire if all was to our liking. There were three of us dining that evening and there were no complaints about the quality of our meals. The desserts were a nice light touch to complete our meal, Tourist trap? Perhaps, but nicely done!!!

“Do they know its Christmas?”
Reviewed December 20, 2012 via mobile

We went for the Xmas party night, nine of us and we had booked ages ago,yet we were put on a table facing a wall of MDF and a scruffy tapestry. Service was well meaning but fragmented. Items on some dishes were omitted without explanation until questioned, some of the food was only tepid, dishes that were the same we're dressed differently, the tea and coffee were cold, generally not what you would expect for €58.50.did I mention that the two tables that were joined together for us were of unequal height?.and that we only had three crackers between nine of us?.we complained and were told we should have mentioned our concerns earlier,we could then have been put in a private dining room, but we specifically booked for the party night, they knocked a round of drinks off our bill, won't be going back in a hurry. I should point out that some of the dishes were very good though

This is one of the most impressive venues I've ever visited, it's a step back in time in a very good way.
