We held our wedding reception over a year ago in Belleek Castle and found service, food and staff brilliant. All the staff ensured our wedding day was special. Since then we have been to the hotel for a number of meals and each time the food just gets better and better. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a wedding, meal or night away.

Great building, superb dinner, renovation was years ago and a bit tired. Pretty good value for money.

I really don’t know where to start, because I have so much to rave about. I’m typically not overly impressed with things, but this place was basically perfect for me. The grounds are gorgeous with grand old trees, and the view opens up after you’ve driven through a thick forest and then the gate to the grounds. The staff is very friendly, and as laid back as any B&B. The “castle” is spectacular inside with carved wood everywhere; it’s technically a stately manor, but the castle moniker fits well. The recently deceased owner spent seventeen years restoring it, per his wife and matron of the manor. He was a Navy man, and influences from the sea are obvious; both main bars have a Spanish Galleon theme. It actually looks like the old buildings that we’d been touring for the previous week.

There are at least four or five different levels that I was able to find; main, second and third with bedrooms, and one or two subterranean. Several of the main floor common rooms have fireplaces, with peat fires. The lower level banquet hall is glorious with stone or wooden floors, a third bar, a big fireplace, and a vaulted ceiling that is overlooked by the level above. There are tapestries, paintings, ancient armaments, and animal trophies everywhere. The furniture is equally grand, and varies from luxurious leather couches to antique carved wood cabinets.

They have signposted walking trails through the forest and by the adjacent lake to explore. We were even offered a dog on a lead for our walk. It really is impossible to adequately put into words. I literally took 133 pictures in two hours upon arrival and initial tour of the place. The restaurant was equally stunning, both in appearance and cuisine; the monkfish was swimming four hours previous to being served. And to top it all off, we were the sole overnight guests that evening; a table of four others came for dinner only. I truly felt royal, at least for a day.

I would highly recommend this place. It isn’t the Ritz with every modern convenience. It’s aged, nicely equipped, and a completely wonderful expression of old world extravagance. If you’re looking for a taste of a bygone era, this may enchant you as much as it did me.

Beware! The Belleek Castle is nowhere near the Belleek factory. In fact, it’s not even in the city of Belleek. Instead it is about two hours south of there. This factored into our mistake of booking here. We were shocked to find it so far removed from where we thought we were staying. This said, the castle is quite charming and very old. Down a very long driveway, one comes around the bend to see a beautiful site of this historic castle and it literally takes your breath away. Our room was on the small side and simply decorated. The closet was actually an armoire and the bathroom was tiny. The grounds around the castle provide some great walks. You can go down a path previously used for transport to and from the river to get some great views of the town. The staff is warm and engaging. Rocky, the German shorthair pointer, is attentive to all the guests, especially those that offer a belly rub. Dinner is served in the main dining hall and if you’re lucky, in one of the smaller, more intimate dining rooms with a fireplace. The food is delicious and the presentation and service spectacular. Although discovered by accident, well worth the trip!

What an amazing place!!! We spent the Bank Holiday weekend here and loved every minute of it. Fantastic service from very friendly staff, superb food and great surroundings. We spent the first day exploring all the little nooks and crannies in the place, so much to see from armada bar to banqueting hall, lots to take in. Spent some time walking round the lush green gardens and in the surrounding Belleek forest.
The food in the resturant was incredible. Lots of fresh local produce and great presentation. Wine was also very good. Followed by a night in the most comfortable four poster bed imaginable!! If you are looking for a romantic weekend away or just somewhere to relax this place is perfect. Will definately be coming back soon :)

My husband and i had our wedding reception in Belleek Castle in the summer of 2006 and booked out the hotel overnight. I cannot recommend this place highly enough either as a venue for a large function or just to stay in for a night or two. The castle itself is set in beautiful grounds and is surrounded by woods so is very secluded. The rooms are very comfortable and have recently been decorated, some are quite expensive but the prices vary dependant upon the size. The owners have made sure that the castle has retained many of its features while ensuring the comfort of their guests. The communal areas are very comfortable and the Armada bar is a great area to have a few drinks. The food is absolutley amazing you would do well to find better. The restuarant alone is worth a visit even if you are not staying there. Breakfast is ia real treat and is included in the price. There is a very wide selection on the menu. I orded salmon and scrambled eggs and got quite a suprise when a smoked salmon fillet arrived on my plate alongside the eggs. The service was exemplary, the staff could not be more helpful in and are an asset to the place. The only compaint that i would have is that there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms.
I would highly recommend staying in this hotel/using it as a venue for a wedding reception/other function and will definately return!
