We had the most wonderful wedding at Belleek Castle on NYE Dec 2012. We had not been to the venue prior to getting married as we are living in Australia so we were not sure what to expect. We were blown away as we first drove up through Belleek woods and caught a glimpse of Belleek Castle. It is truly magical.

The interior did not disappoint either. The Armanda bar was oozing old castle charm and we enjoyed having drinks here with our guests. On the day of our wedding we were brought down to see the banquet hall before the meal. It was absolutely stunning. There is an enormous fire place at the back of the room, which created a lovely cosy atmosphere. There were dozens of candles on the tables and the top table was decorated lovely with fresh roses and candles. It was very romantic and it was exactly what we had hoped for.

Food: On the lead up to the wedding Stephan the head chief was excellent at providing us advice on fresh local produce and the best options for our wedding day. The food was an absolute highlight while we stayed in the castle. We had the Drunken Bullock the night before the wedding which was superb and a treat to watch.
The food on the day of our wedding was outstanding. Stephen had prepared beautiful canapés for our guests followed by a sit down meal. We had crab pudding or duck tart to start. They were both delicious and the crab pudding was the best I’ve ever tasted. We had a Vodka Granita between courses which was great fun and a hit with the guests. For mains we had Connemara Lamb or wild Sea bass. Again both dishes were fantastic and my husband ended up having both! The dessert was to die for, a berry crumble and pavlova combo. The pastry on the crumble was perfectly made and the pavlova was divine.

Accommodation:The accommodation is as you would expect for an old castle. We were very happy with our bridal suite which had a beautiful view over the main gardens with a large four poster bed. If you are looking for all the mod cons then this is not the place for you. It is quaint and full of charm.

Service: The staff during our stay were fantastic. Maya and Mary looked after us very well and were very accommodating to our needs while we were there. Since we did not have the opportunity to go to the venue prior to getting married, they were excellent and providing us local information and taking us through ever step on the day. We loved the relaxed atmosphere in the castle and you did not feel like you were staying in a hotel but a guest in someone’s home.
Overall I could not recommend the castle enough for a wedding if you looking for an old world experience. We loved our time at Belleek and are really looking forward to visiting again.

Without doubt the most relaxing weekend away I've ever experienced. The food, courtesy of master chef Stephen is to die for (the 'drunken bullock' should be on every meat eaters bucket list). Our room was perfect and the four poster bed provided the most restful slumber I've had in a long time. Sitting at home writing this review I am already planning my next trip back. Special mention to Ciaran the barman, Paul and Maya. For my wife and I Belleek Castle was hospitality at its best.

Decided to book a 'Special' night, mid-week, in October. Turned out that we were the only over-night guests that night, so we felt almost like Lairds of the Castle! From the moment we parked, until we departed the next day, the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The only way our stay might have been improved would have been to have extended it, to multiple nights.
Did not dine in the restaurant, but we were served a remarkable breakfast the following morning. The grounds are expansive and well cared for and there is Wi-Fi throughout the building -- no small feat and all the more appreciated, because of it.
It is an old building, but well-maintained and filled with an eclectic assortment of antiques and period touches that made our stay an all-time favorite.
A bit out of town, so would not do for a 'Pub Crawl' base. We opted for gin and tonics in front of the fire, in the sitting room, instead.

Room Tip: Splurge for a night of Period Opulence. Aren't you worth it?

Belleek Castle is graced by acres of woodland with red squirrels and wildlife, from the moment you drive up the woodland drive and then see the beauty of the castle you are amazed by its tranquility. Upon check in Paul & the staff are the most courteous and most pleasant welcoming people we have ever met. The food is 5 star and an absolute must! NO complaints can ever be made about this place. We booked for one night end ended up staying for two. On our first night the owner gave us a tour of the dungeons, It was such a pleasure to stay here. This property is so understated it should be rated as a 5 star. This property will appeal to couples, friends, corporate gatherings, WEDDINGS, families.

Room Tip: Superior Double is beautiful
