As part of a family visit to Ireland with my two parents who are both in their 80s, my wife & our 4 children I had booked 3 rooms at this hotel for the night of the 22nd October.
The reservation was paid in full at the time of booking which was the 2nd September 2018. We had chosen this hotel and others on our tour carefully so they met our needs with regards to locations, facilities & access.
A week before travel I recieved an email from the hotel vaguely saying there had been a 'problem with booking system' and they could not honour my booking!
Considering the timing of the cancellation and the poor explanation provided I can't help but feel that bigger business was preferred over my booking - very disappointing and frustrating.
How can a hotel take over a month to identify that they have a problem with their booking system? Seems unlikely doesn't it and a poor reflection on the management.
Why has no detailed explanation been provided, human error & IT failure?? Feeds my thoughts that a better offer was received.
So be warned!!!
From my experience it would appear that even if you reserve and pay for a room at this hotel and have confirmation of both your reservation could be cancelled at anytime.
