Went to Ballina Manor a few weeks ago for 3 day stay purchased through Groupon. There were 10 of us We used to stay in the Hotel when it was called Ridgepool. Hotel owners have made a lot of improvements the staff were great and couldn't do enough for us. Food in restaurant was beautiful and big portions. I would highly recommend this hotel and the town is great too lots of entertainment in the bars and the people are all very friendly. Cannot wait to return

Room Tip: Book room with view in advance

We arrived in Ballina, birth town of my father so much excitement. We found the Ballina Manor, great location right on the Moy river and our room looked great (7/10). After booking in we found a great little Italian restuarant (Poreinis) and wandered through the parts of Ballina I could remember. Back to the Hotel for a night cap before heading off to the room. Awful night's sleep, forgot about the cathedral be;l tolling on the hour every hour, midnight was particularly lovely. the hotel bar shut at 3am and the guests wandering back to the rooms were as loud as they could possibly be. However, to sleep again about 4am only to be woken at 8am by the window cleaner outside our room who was just shutting our window with a clang. OH joy, breakfast was good however and the staff were lovely. Our overall ratings as follows: Room 7/10, Bed 3/10 (small and uncomfortable), shower 5/10 good pressure but dials temperamental, so scolding hot water for a bit! Breakfast 8/10, lovely staff

Was a bit concerned prior to arriving at the hotel as I was wary of the hotel still warming up for the new season. No need for concern. We recieved a great warm welcome, and nothing was a problem for the very attentive staff. Only negative was the gym/spa was still being upgraded therefore not available to us. Food top class with generous potions and plenty of variety. A very enjoyable and relaxing break. Will most certainly return and recommend to all.

great staff, beds are sooo comfortable, lack of choice on menus is only let down, well apart from anyoutside seating area, but would definately stay again, very reasonable and ideal for a weekend break away,

Room Tip: ask for a room over river, away from main road,

This hotel is well situated in the hear of Ballina. It is a bit worn around the edges and the service is less than spectacular. Overall, just an average place. There are much nicer places to stay for the price if you have a car and can get around on your own.
