Dillons Terrace was of significant commercial importance and is steeped in local history. The stone floor in Dillons Bar originated from Kilmainham Gaol and a huge chimney breast in the bar was once used as a hopper to process grain.

Specials for the evening were Chicken Stroganoff and Hake. Both were superbly cooked and were delicious. Very busy in both restaurant and bar but quality of food did not suffer.

Not living in Ballina but when I do come home we usually eat here. Had dinner here on Saturday evening having booked in advance. On arrival at 7pm the place was packed, every table in the bar appeared to be taken. We were met by the manager/owner Paul who brought us to a table in the restaurant. Given how packed the place was the service was outstanding as always. We had a bottle of wine, mains and desserts, all very good and considering how busy they were we were even more impressed by the timing, quality and service. Would highly recommend Dillons for great food, great service at reasonable prices. When we were leaving I noticed someone checking into the accommodation which is part of the business, I would imagine this is just as well run as the bar and restaurant and given it's location in Ballina would be ideal for visitors.

We were very impressed with the efficiency in the restaurant as we called just before we arrived and the table was ready and waiting. The service was outstanding and the manager was very helpful. We had the ribs and fish cakes which were class and then both had the steak which was cooked to perfection. For dessert we had the crumble which exceeded expectations. We were thoroughly impressed and will be back and also recommending to our friends.

Love this place, very friendly staff. Food is lovely although the menu is slightly limited in choice. But well worth a visit, lovely location.
